Moving Template edit

I've moved your userbox to the correct namespace, Template:. Your page is now located at Template:User likes Jamiroquai

Typing {{Template:User likes Jamiroquai}} will produce your UBX. Thanks. Netalarmtalk 03:43, 9 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Strawberry Swing/Coldplay Unreleased edit

Dear Guitarherochristopher, I see that you have edited my sandbox articles, Thank you very much for uploading that image of the Strawberry Swing single. To be honest I had no idea how to do that. And about the Coldplay Unreleased, thanks for that too, althought there are some edits that I want to do. I plan on making it a real article once I finish it.--Coldplay Expert (talk) 01:34, 13 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

When Pure Is Defiled edit

It was deleted because it had no context. All there was in the article was a track listing and link to a picture that didn't exist. There was no way to tell who the album belonged to or if the album was real. The page had sat for four hours and nobody added the name of the band. Here's the entire contents of the delete article:

Track Listing:
1.Just What You Need
2.Love Your Drugs
3.I Hate People Like That
4.My Friends All Lie
5.Injection Of You
6.Disintergrating
7.Killing Me Killing You
8.Sucked In
9.Say It
10.Wrong
11.Entertained
12.Blow It All Away

As to NIN I reaaly don't see what my having listened to them has to do with anything and I also see that I have, unknowingly, also listened to Jerk. Enter CambridgeBayWeather, waits for audience applause, not a sausage 15:44, 15 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

August 2009:Tip Of Citation edit

Please do not add content without citing verifiable and reliable sources. Before making any potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article, If you want to . Thank you. Deserted Cities 06:15, 24 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Your edits and talk/user page edit

I'm not sure what your purpose for editing Wikipedia is, but almost none of your edits appear to be constructive. You are adding gibberish to a variety of Coldplay articles, although you claim to be a fan. Furthermore, your user page and talk page both have patent nonsense. On your talk page, you are editing other people's comments/edits, which is not acceptable. Read over Wikipedia's guidelines if you do not want to have your edits instantly mistaken for vandalism. Please don't change genre's without some sort of source. Also, going on "wonder" isn't a good reason. Plus, it may be a good idea to try and discuss with others, it seems like you never respond to anything on your talk page. Deserted Cities 18:13, 30 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Hey, why do you keep ignoring me? Didnt you know that I already have an LP5 sandbox article on Coldplay?--Coldplay Expert (talk) 21:59, 8 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

You know what, why dont we do a colaboration between the two of Us It could be called, User:Coldplay Expert/Guitarherochristopher/List of unreleased Coldplay songs and on each of our user pages we caon put this after it. (In colaboration with X or Y) Does that sound good? By the way. I cant belive that the page was deleted! we need more sources so that way the page will last.--Coldplay Expert (talk) 22:49, 9 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

No i cant seem to get the source. I will continue to work on it everyday but I think that we need to wait for the rith album to come out befor we make this a real article.--Coldplay Expert (talk) 01:01, 10 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

Let's make this very simple edit

You don't seem to understand any of the complaints that people have against you. And you clearly don't bother to read any of the Wikipedia policies we are posting here on your page. So let me make it very simple: stop changing the music genres for anything by Coldplay. You've been 100% wrong so far and none of these edits by you have a source or reference to back up what you are adding. Please stop doing this or you will be blocked from editing. OK. that sounds good but once this page becomes an article again some people may want a souce for it and we cant find one...we may have to get rid of it. And by the way what did you mean by dream about it?--Coldplay Expert (talk) 03:26, 12 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

An image or media file has been removed from your userpage, user talk page, or other page because it was licensed as fair use. Wikipedia's fair use policy states that Copyrighted images under fair use are only allowed to be used in articles about the subject of the image, and only if no free equivalent is available. For example they are not allowed to be used on user pages, in lists, or (typically) in biographies of living people.. As a result, although users are often given a great amount of latitude in the type of content that is allowed on their user pages, it is requested that you abide by this policy. Problem with your pages edit

User:Guitarherochristopher/Genesis Band Member Gets Sacked Out Of The Drums and User:Guitarherochristopher/What Happened To Micheal Jackson? are blatant copyright violations; you obviously cut-and-pasted them from elsewhere online. That isn't allowed. All content on Wikipedia must be created by whoever posts it, or have been created with a licence that is compatible with the two licencing schemes we use.

If you look at the text right below the edit box, you will see:

If you did not write this yourself, it must be available under terms consistent with the Terms of Use, and you agree to follow any relevant licensing requirements.

Please add {{db-u1}} to those pages in order to have them deleted ASAP by an administrator. → ROUX  03:42, 26 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

In addition, Wikipedia is not a blog. Your userpage/subpages is not a place for you to be posting random news all the time. Please see this page for definitions of what is and is not acceptable on your userpages. → ROUX  03:51, 26 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

Please also note that you may only use free images on your userpage, not fair-use images, as they are only considered legal to use for purely educational purposes. So the video game image needs to go. Look.. I think you could become a decent contributor around here, but you need to listen and respond when people are trying to educate you. I'll extend the same adoption offer that I extended to Orangesodakid: I'm willing to help you become a useful and productive editor, and the best place for you to start is here. → ROUX  04:05, 26 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of User:Guitarherochristopher/What Happened To Micheal Jackson? edit

A tag has been placed on User:Guitarherochristopher/What Happened To Micheal Jackson? requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. →ROUX 03:58, 26 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

I'm not on Wikipedia to make friends. I'm not so sure your recent editing history shows that. You do seem more interested in using Wikipedia as a social networking site. Perhaps you should spend more of your time constructively editing articles? --JD554 (talk) 19:42, 27 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

RE: edit

Thank you very much for the message Mr. Guitarherochristopher's dad. Let me be the first to tell you that he can be a very good editor. It has only been recently (About a few weeks after I joined in July of this year) that your son began to make deits that several other editors did not like. Let me assure you that the situation is not serious and that I will forward the entire message that you have sent to me to an admin that I know. User:Backslash Forwardslash. He has some history of being involved with your son and I am shure that he will know what to do. If you have any other questions or comments I will always be available.--Coldplay Expert 23:40, 28 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

I would be extremely surprised if that came from your father, as there are many spelling and grammar errors. (Unless, of course, English is the second language, but I don't think that is the case.) I would advise you that playing games don't end well and that if you want help editing, you should ask someone yourself in a mature manner. \ Backslash Forwardslash / (talk) 01:18, 29 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of User:Guitarherochristopher/Ad2 edit

A tag has been placed on User:Guitarherochristopher/Ad2, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. →ROUX 03:00, 30 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

Hi. edit

I need you to respond to this, okay? And I need you to respond right here on this page.

It seems like you really don't understand what Wikipedia is for. And when pages of yours are deleted, you just create new versions (I'm referring to User:Guitarherochristopher/Ad1 and User:Guitarherochristopher/Ad2). You won't listen when people tell you that you cannot use non-free images (that means images with copyrights, basically) in your userspace--you have been warned for that multiple times and you just keep doing it. There are other problems as well, but I'm just going to assume you know them as they've been ongoing for some time.

Basically, I think Wikipedia may not be the best place for you, as you don't show much interest or ability in changing your behaviour. And you're likely to be blocked permanently from editing if you don't change. Neither of us really wants that to happen. And it seems to me that what you really want is an easy-to-edit set of webpages where you can write about Coldplay, play games, and so on.

So I've created a wiki of your own for you. You can do anything you like there, and I will help you import anything you need from Wikipedia.

This comes with a price: you have to stop messing around on Wikipedia. You can make article edits, and you can discuss improvements to articles on article talk and user talk pages, but all the other business has to stop. To be clear: I am not an admin and cannot impose this on you. However, it is the only way I can see for you to avoid the indefinite block that is probably coming.

So please answer the following questions:

  1. Do you want to use your own wiki?
  2. If you do, will you stop messing around on Wikipedia?

Thanks. → ROUX  03:27, 30 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

Okay. Your wiki is here. Your username is Guitarherochristopher, and your password is "And everything you do, Yeah they were ___ ______" (fill in the blanks. Don't use spaces.) Let me know if you need anything imported from Wikipedia. And no more messing around, okay? I will be keeping an eye on your edits and will warn you if you start using Wikipedia inappropriately again, and will find an admin to block you if necessary. Do you understand? → ROUX  03:53, 30 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

Do not edit other people's user pages, please edit

This is the last warning you will receive for your disruptive edits, such as those you made to User:Yintan. If you vandalize Wikipedia again, you will be blocked from editing.

A week ago you promised to stop "messing about" with Wikipedia. But you are still editing other people's user pages and creating pointless "humour" pages. If you don't change your behaviour like you promised, there is a real risk of you getting blocked. Why don't you use the wiki that Roux made for you, for your private projects? --bonadea contributions talk 06:41, 6 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Sigh. GHC, I'm sorry I haven't had time to move things over for you, but what part of 'no more messing around' hasn't been clear? Wikipedia is not a place to host your blog. → ROUX  17:31, 6 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

This isn't about making deals, GHC. And I did leave you a cookie there, on your userpage. I'm going to have to be firm. This is your final warning. If you use Wikipedia inappropriately again, you will be blocked. If you want to transwiki (copy) your userspace over, go to Special:Export here, and the page called 'Special:Import' on your own wiki. Follow the directions. → ROUX  18:18, 6 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

...Ah well edit

Ah well, haven't messaged you in a long time, but it seems that you're in a bit more trouble now. I'm guessing that you don't really understand Wikipedia's policies. I saw that you had a section on your talk page that listed the rules, but you seem to be missing some core items.

  • Wikipedia is not a social networking site. Although the social component of Wikipedia is very important when collaborating, please do not use Wikipedia solely as a social networking site.
  • Please do not edit other user's user pages. They're similar to a user's profile (on social networking sites), which generally should only be changed by the user himself. I see that you're only trying to help out, but please refrain from doing such actions.

You've indicated that you're in 8th grade. I like that you have interest in Wikipedia, but you might want to wait until you're a bit older to start editing.(Based on your current behavior). =]

Anyway, enjoy your own personal Wiki site that Roux setup for you. Although if you just want to social network, maybe just use Facebook, MySpace, or Twitter? Best of luck. Netalarmtalk 02:43, 8 October 2009 (UTC)Reply
