Notice of username

edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, "Grooming Man", may not meet Wikipedia's username policy because because your username is a clear violation of Wikipedia's username policy – it is obviously offensive, profane, violent, threatening, sexually explicit, disruptive, attacks or impersonates another person, or suggests that you do not intend to contribute positively to Wikipedia. Please see our blocking and username policies for more information. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to Wikipedia, but users are not allowed to edit with accounts that have inappropriate usernames, and we do not tolerate 'bad faith' editing such as trolling or other disruptive behavior. I ask that you reconsider your username, and consider creating a new account under a new, appropriate username or use the global username request process to change your username.. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. As an alternative, you may ask for a change of username by completing the form at Special:GlobalRenameRequest, or you may simply create a new account for editing. Please note that this message was placed here in consideration of the word "grooming" meaning sexual abuse towards a minor, but your name could imply you grooming dogs, like taking care of a canine's hygiene. If action isn't taken within a while when you edit, you are to be considered blocked by an administrator. Thank you, respectfully Mod creator 🏡 🗨 📝 22:33, 7 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

Please don't threaten to block people. I wouldn't block people for that as there's no evidence they mean grooming in a child abuse sense. Secretlondon (talk) 12:47, 8 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
