Welcome! edit

Hello, Grenadine13, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Ian and I work with Wiki Education; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.

I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. You may also want to check out the Teahouse, a community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to helping new users. Below are some resources to help you get started editing.

Your articles edit

  • Achilles and Patroclus
    • I think this one might be good. Looks like there was a class that worked on it before and an editor who is still messing with it occasionally (and rolling back vandalism) who might even step forward to answer inquiries and such. I don't have, at a first glance, a clear sense of what needs and could be done though. I think some reorganizing and streamlining may be needed but I don't see a clear avenue for doing so.
  • Iliad
    • Oh wow!--Good find! Definitely do this one. I can't believe the article for the Illiad is this bad! This has a major problem with Original Research (see WP:OR) that will require some bold edits, but you definitely can step up to the task!
  • Patroclus
    • Ok, so I think what you can do is, in a sense, BOTH this one and the Achilles and Patroclus one. I think the Achilles and Patroclus will be your main article but you'll want to compare the two and streamline this information between the two articles.
  • Queer theory
    • Ah... Have you taken a queer theory course? Note the discussion about stubbing it in the talk page. The content does exist over here [1] but the task of rebuilding it (perhaps even from that old material) would take some effort. If you're up for the task, though, I think it would be a worthwhile endeavor
  • Lilith'
    • Another good find but also a bit task. Some WP:OR here too.
  • Triple Goddess (Neopaganism)
    • Hmm, this one might work, but the issue is that what really needs to be done is some condensing and streamlining, which would involve condensing some of the emphasis given to those few figures in the middle who wrote about this. Sometimes that is hard to make stick. Otherwise, much of this is in an ok form and seems to need more marginal changes.

Some good finds here. Grab the ones you want in the WikiEdu dashEtherfire (talk) 22:21, 11 February 2022 (UTC)Reply
