Edit wars and communication

edit

You have engaged in a number of edit wars in the last few months. Edit warring can result in sanctions being imposed on you limiting, or even blocking, your editing on Wikipedia. Please follow the advice at Wikipedia:BOLD, revert, discuss cycle. In short, this means that when you have made an edit to an article, and another editor has reverted you, instead of re-reverting to your preferred version, go the article's talk page and start a discussion about the change you want to make. A core Wikipedia policy is that, in the event of any dispute, the contents of articles must conform to a consensus arrived at by discussion among interested editors (subject to requirements of other policies). Also, please note that communication is required when another editor contacts you about any dispute over your editing or behavior. - Donald Albury 15:05, 25 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

Your not helpful edits

edit

Hi could you please stop inserting old Portuguese provinces especially where they are not needed. For example, the edit you did in Serras de Aire e Candeeiros Natural Park [1] is not helpful as you are putting 3 large old provinces instead of two smaller districts; Nazaré Canyon is not a administrative region and so I don't see the point in putting the Oeste Region in there. Besides this you are constantly in need for edit-wars, you put categories in the wrong place in Category:Municipalities of Portugal, you take templates that should be there [2][3] and you're always writing grammatical errors both in English and Portuguese, all in a period of only 3 months.

I know you're from the Oeste Region, and I know you are probably not young due to your stubbornness in putting provinces that are not used since 1976, but you don't need to put that in the intro of the article, there's always a History section where you can include that if you want. You want to write your own things, without anyone editing them, I get it, but you've chosen the wrong platform to do so. In my opinion, you are not here to improve Wikipedia.

If you do intend to improve Wikipedia, talk. Average Portuguese Joe (talk) 14:08, 4 February 2021 (UTC)Reply
