License tagging for Image:LollyLouCarpenter.JPG

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:LollyLouCarpenter.JPG. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 22:10, 27 April 2007 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free image (Image:Hoylands2007.jpg)

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Hoylands2007.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 16:56, 14 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Kylie Minogue discography

edit

Thank you for your contributions to Kylie Minogue discography. Some edits have been made to the article to bring it into harmony with Wikipedia's Manual of Style. Please familiarize yourself with the guidelines shown there. All edits that do not follow these guidelines have been changed to match what our MoS recommends. Wikipedia does not require writers to follow all or any of these rules, but their efforts will be more appreciated when they do so. Extraordinary Machine 18:19, 17 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Please stop capitalising every word in song and album titles. Wikipedia:Naming conventions#Album and song titles and band names stipulates that conjunctions, prepositions, articles and to (when used to form an infinitive) should not be capitalised unless they are the first or last words in the titles. Thanks. Extraordinary Machine 20:08, 2 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:Neighbours-logo-2007.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. (ESkog)(Talk) 23:21, 18 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

November (film)

edit

Regarding your edits to November (film): please stop changing the instances of Courteney Cox's name to Courteney Cox Arquette. She is credited simply as Courteney Cox in the film (and that's the name Cox generally uses in her film and television projects, as far as I know), so that's how she should be referred to in the article. Moreover, your edits broke an image link and made some of the citation titles wrong. Thanks. Extraordinary Machine 17:04, 9 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

January 2008

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, adding content without citing a reliable source, as you did to Tomb Raider: Underworld, is not consistent with our policy of verifiability. This is especially important when dealing with biographies of living people, but applies to all Wikipedia articles. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you are already familiar with Wikipedia:Citing sources, please take this opportunity to add your original reference to the article. Thank you. ~~ [Jam][talk] 22:24, 20 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Neighbours Templates

edit

Please stop removing people from certain family groups. Most people belong to more than one group as they've either A) got one parent in that family or B) have been adopted or married to into it.

For Example. Andrew belongs in both Alessi and Robinson as each parent is from that family.

I'm trying to follow the examples set in the other userboxes like the EastEnders, Coronation Stret, Hollyoaks and Emmerdale ones.

Jordan -> Katie Price -> Katie Andre

edit

I see that you've completely ignored my comment and questions at the bottom of what was the Jordan (Katie Price) talk page. So, is she now officially going by Andre and not Price? Or is she still better known as Price? Dismas|(talk) 00:39, 26 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Please stop. If you continue to move pages to bad titles or before discussions about the title have ended, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. -- John (Daytona2 · Talk · Contribs) 08:29, 9 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open!

edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
