Disambiguation link notification for November 4
editHi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited 2013 Texas A&M Aggies football team, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page The Houstonian (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Administrators can block users from editing if they repeatedly vandalize. editHi there! Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.
When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:
Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)
Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.
Edit summary content is visible in:
- User contributions
- Recent changes
- Watchlists
- Revision differences
- IRC channels
- Related changes
- New pages list and
- Article editing history
Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. Thanks! UW Dawgs (talk) 16:40, 17 August 2015 (UTC)
Welcome to Wikipedia. At least one of your recent edits, such as the edit you made to 12th man (football), did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted or removed. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at the welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make some test edits, please use the sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. Blocked
editGlencoco8995 (block log • active blocks • global blocks • contribs • deleted contribs • filter log • creation log • change block settings • unblock • checkuser (log))
Request reason:
I have been falsely accused as a sockpuppet and I am not a sockpuppet. I am just a 22 year old single college student from Texas with a Wikipedia account just making edits in good faith. I do not own multiple user accounts on Wikipedia and thought that my edits were made in good faith. The block has hurt me emotionally.
Decline reason:
Sort of a procedural decline as the only way this block can be properly overturned is for another Checkuser to review the evidence (and before it gets stale at that). Apart from that, though, if we unblocked every user who says they're not a sock, we might as well not have a sockpuppetry policy then. And as for this hurting you emotionally ... if that's the kind of person you are, you really ought to strongly reconsider whether editing Wikipedia is something you want to do, because this sort of thing is likely to happen again. And notwithstanding that, a lot of people (myself included) don't respond well to that sort of emotional blackmail, no matter how well it might have worked to get you what you want in the past offline. — Daniel Case (talk) 16:08, 4 October 2015 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
