Hello, Geraytenia, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Adam and I work with the Wiki Education Foundation; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.

I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. You may also want to check out the Teahouse, a community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to helping new users. Below are some resources to help you get started editing.

Geray, Great Job!!

edit

Dear Geray,

I see that you have finished 4/6 trainings so far, that you are up to date, and that you have played around in the sandbox. Nice work.

However, I see that you have not made any "real" edits, so now is the time to get your hands dirty!

Please use the "Citation Hunt" tool to find a Wikipedia Article that is lacking a citation, then go find one and change the article with the new citation. I just did it, and it wasn't that hard (I promise!) We will be playing with Wikipedia this week, so try to get ahead of the game!

If you reply to me on this talk page before Feb 1, I will give you 5 bonus points on the Wikipedia project.

Dooley State Prison

edit

Hi! I edited some of the content you added to the article for Dooley State Prison. The reason for this is that the visitation section contained content that was a little too WP:INDISCRIMINATE for Wikipedia's purposes. By this I mean that while there's merit in listing the days they allow visitation and who could visit, listing more detail than that would be seen as just a bit too much information for Wikipedia since the article is only meant to be a general overview. Peer Review

hey Geray! Your section was very informative. It contained very useful information regarding visitation guidelines that others might need when going to the prison. However I feel that it could have also included info on dress codes or rules that they must follow when visitation? I'm sure your section could use more detail. Overall though very good edit for the article. Jessrojas (talk) 13:17, 6 April 2017 (UTC)Reply
