Might I make a suggestion?

edit

The articles that you are currently in the process of creating - Bangalore:Yelahanka, Bangalore:MG road, Bangalore:Banashankari and Bangalore:Marathalli - have the possibility of being speedily deleted. I suggest that you collate all information and if necessary, create the article Restaurants in Bangalore. However, I would suggest that you try creating a section for Restaurants in Bangalore in the Bangalore article first. Let me know if you require any help. Bangalore:Residency Road

edit

A tag has been placed on Bangalore:Residency Road, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing no content to the reader. Please note that external links, "See also" section, book reference, category tag, template tag, interwiki link, rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article don't count as content. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}} to the page and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. — Indon (reply) — 09:05, 17 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Notability of GenieBangalore

edit

A tag has been placed on GenieBangalore, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Malc82 10:43, 20 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

use of hangon tag

edit

Thee is no reason to place the {{hangon}} tag on an aricle, such as Yelahanka, that no one is currently proposing to speedy delete. I have removed the tag in this case. You may not know that the hangon tag actually places the article into Category:Candidates for speedy deletion, even if there is no actual speedy deletion tag on the artticle. Hotel Sharavathi

edit

A {{prod}} template has been added to the article Hotel Sharavathi, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you endorse deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please tag it with {{db-author}}. DES (talk) 17:43, 23 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

AfD Nomination: Restaurants in Bangalore

edit

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! We welcome and appreciate your contributions, but all Wikipedia articles must meet our criteria for inclusion (see What Wikipedia is not and Deletion policy). Since it does not seem that Restaurants in Bangalore meets these criteria, an editor has started a discussion about whether this article should be kept or deleted.

Your opinion on whether this article meets the inclusion criteria is welcome. Please contribute to the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Restaurants in Bangalore. Don't forget to add four tildes (~~~~) at the end of each of your comments to sign them.

Discussions such as these usually last five days. In the meantime, you are free to edit the content of the article. Please do not remove the "articles for deletion" template (the box at the top). When the discussion has concluded, a neutral third party will consider all comments and decide whether or not to delete the article. DES (talk) 17:55, 23 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Hi!

edit

Hi there... Really nice to see your message. First off, lemme tell you that userpages cannot be locked from editing by other users. However, if the userpage fits the norms and guidelines of WP:USERPAGE, I doubt any serious editor would edit it. Even if any inappropriate content is found on the userpage, editors generally leave a note on your talk page before they edit it, or better yet, they ask you to remove the inappropriate content.

Secondly, I'm kinda wondering what you would like to work on in Wikipedia. Do let me know. Mebbe I could help? However, I also suggest that you check out our guidelines on what Wikipedia is. I've got some of the Wikipedian policies listed on my userpage. Feel free to check 'em out. aJCfreak yAk 14:53, 8 August 2007 (UTC)Reply
