Osman Chávez edit

Zrobiłeś już drugi raz edycję która jest niepoprawna i wprowadza w błąd. Bo widzimy Gold UNCAF 2007 i Gold UNCAF 2011.

Templates edit

Hi there GELU, AL from Portugal here,

can you please stop changing the order of the templates below? It's: 1 - club templates; 2 - national team templates; 2 - award templates.

Thanks and happy week - --AL (talk) 15:43, 17 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

  • More of a common sense rule than anything else. The club is where the player spends most of his playing days, the national team a "bonus". Awards are the complements to the first two things. Regards --AL (talk) 20:31, 17 September 2012 (UTC)Reply
  • With all due respect man, the club is not the least important thing, but the most important one. It's a difficult situation i see, no consensus on both approaches. See you later. --AL (talk) 12:39, 18 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

OK i am sorry to have reinstated the navigation for only one Spanish squad template in Jesús María Pereda, but i did not do it on purpose, there was no need to make fun of me ("Congratulations") i think, i have already removed the navigation stuff. I have reinstated the CLUB/COUNTRY/AWARDS order however, per my arguments on the 17 September 2012 message. Please don't revert me again, because if we start an edit war, we can BOTH be blocked, what's the point?

I'll suggest this: i'll write a report at WP:FOOTY, if there is any consensus saying we must follow your template order, i'll agree with you and start doing like you do. OK with you? Here is the discussion, please do participate (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Football#Templates_order).

Thanks, happy editing --AL (talk) 23:56, 3 December 2013 (UTC)Reply

  • Update: in Mr.Pereda's case, we can have the AWARDS template in second position, as the awards came when he was still a player, so that can come before manager stuff. Cheers --AL (talk) 23:59, 3 December 2013 (UTC)Reply

Transfermarkt stats edit

Hello. Was a little confused by some of your recent changes to player stats. E.g. on Dimitris Diamantakos, you mention transfermarkt.de in your edit summary, but the stats in the Nationalmannschaftskarriere box on his profile page at that site aren't the same as the ones you added. And on Oscar Lewicki, his 2013 career record at transfermarkt gives him 90 minutes against Gefle on 30 September, a game he didn't play in, and 2 goals in the next match, against Malmo, when he scored once. His profile at the Swedish Football Association site confirms 42 appearances 2 goals.

On the English Wikipedia, transfermarkt isn't considered a reliable source, because of its lack of adequate editorial oversight, and therefore its inaccuracy, as well illustrated by the Lewicki example. cheers, Struway2 (talk) 11:58, 4 January 2014 (UTC) Hello. According to Diamantakos, in the Nationalmannschaftskarriere box~, stats sometimes aren't uploaded, a few matches could be lacking. So this box for sure isn't reliable. I was looking at every season and counting his matches in the youth national teams at Performance Data section at transfermarkt.de I thought that this source will be okay and reliable. Due to case with Oscar Lewicki, I agree with you, sorry for a wrong edit. Redards, Gelu6 (talk) 12:12, 4 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

No problem. Thanks, Struway2 (talk) 12:20, 4 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

Invite to the African Destubathon edit

Hi. You may be interested in participating in the African Destubathon which starts on October 15. Africa currently has over 37,000 stubs and badly needs a quality improvement editathon/contest to flesh out basic stubs. There are proposed substantial prizes to give to editors who do the most articles, and planned smaller prizes for doing to most destubs for each of the 53 African countries, so should be enjoyable! So it would be a good chance to win something for improving stubs on African sportspeople, including footballers, athletes, Olympians and Paralympians etc, particularly female ones, but also male. Even if contests aren't your thing we would be grateful if you could consider destubbing a few African articles during the drive to help the cause and help reduce the massive 37,000 + stub count, of which many are rated high importance (think Regions of countries etc). If you're interested in competing or just loosely contributing a few expanded articles on African Paralympians, Olympians and committees etc, please add your name to the Contestants/participants section. Diversity of work from a lot of people will make this that bit more special. Thanks. --MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 21:14, 6 October 2016 (UTC)Reply
