Barnstar edit

This "exceptional newcomer" barnstar is awarded to Gazjo for his contribution to articles on the history of Western Australia. Snottygobble

...although at over two months you're barely a newcomer now.

Stick around; we need more of your intelligent, balanced, articulate edits on Western Australian history articles.

P.S. To my knowledge you haven't disclosed your gender; my apologies if I've guessed wrong.

Hey Jo! Nice to see you editing my Esperance article. Just about to fly out of South America, on my way to Europe. Will no doubt see ya when I get back in August. --Swamp Ig 17:06, 1 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Jacques Félix Emmanuel Hamelin edit

Re: this. My apologies, but it appears no-one answered your question - how rude! Your discovery of fr:Jacques Félix Emmanuel Hamelin appears to be very worthwhile and so I've made a translation request here. Regards -- I@ntalk 06:35, 19 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Hope you dont take my comments on the history and hamelin arts the wrong way - there seems to be a need for us to get a handle on what we should could him - the baron bit seems to give us even more options! SatuSuro 14:29, 28 July 2006 (UTC)Reply
No probs - I don't really know what he was properly know as either (more research required!) Gazjo 14:47, 28 July 2006 (UTC)Reply
Thanks - i think the full name on the art title is misleading (which is why I italicised the probable used name), and I have a copy of the Fornasiero et al ref and they say (page 21) he was known as Emmanuel - but the baron bit is interesting, as you say -more research required! will get back on this one SatuSuro 14:58, 28 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Hi, it's refreshing someone cleans up the Clarkson page (which I think you did, by checking it's history) - it doesn't deserve such a bad rap, by half - Stinger2000 09:17, 27 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Change to Common.css edit

Per recent discussions, the way in which Persondata is viewed by Wikipedia editors has changed. In order to continue viewing Persondata in Wikipedia articles, please edit your user CSS file to display table.persondata rather than table.metadata. More specific instructions can be found on the Persondata page. --ShakingSpirittalk on behalf of Kaldari 01:04, 25 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Perth1964.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Perth1964.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 19:42, 26 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
