Disputed fair use rationale for Image:HMAS Sydney (SMH 290851).jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:HMAS Sydney (SMH 290851).jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 00:17, 27 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

EXID

edit

Hi there. I'm glad you're interested in improving the EXID article. Right now none of the members are individually notable, so they don't need their own articles on Wikipedia. Plus, there isn't that much known about them probably so it'd be hard to fill up an article anyway. In a case like this, it'd be great to expand the members' section of the main EXID article with prose. Many kpop articles have terrible members' sections or had big tables in them, which were very restrictive when it came to the variety of information which could be shared. And for as big as they were, they actually said very little. The Hani article doesn't have much info on it, as it's not appropriate to list every show she's ever appeared on for a single episode (that is great info for a fansite or fanwiki, though!). But if you get a reference for her birthday and if she's a regular cast member on a show, that info can go nicely in an expanded members' section on EXID. The Apink article was recently expanded in such a way - take a look at Apink#Members to see what's been done there. That formatting works well if you have more information for some members than others, and allows the reader to learn more about each members' background and individual activities. That formatting is really how a biographical article should be on Wikipedia. There's already some info in the EXID article's members' section to work with. Even if you're more of a Hani fan than an EXID fan and don't want to add info for the other members, that's fine. You can just add Hani info and leave it at that; no pressure to beef up the other members' info too. Anyway, I hope you can use the Apink article as a model and hope this is helpful! If you're a fan of other groups, too, I'd love to see these kinds of improvements on other articles. :) Shinyang-i (talk) 12:11, 13 March 2015 (UTC)Reply
