 Tips
  • Don't be afraid to edit! Just find something that can be improved and make it better. Other editors will help fix any mistakes you make.
  • It's normal to feel a little overwhelmed, but don't worry if you don't understand everything at first—it's fine to edit using common sense.
  • If an edit you make is reverted, you can discuss the issue at the article's talk page. Be civil, and don't restore the edit unless there is consensus.
  • Always use edit summaries to explain your changes.
  • When adding new content to an article, always include a citation to a reliable source.
  • If you wish to edit about a subject with which you are affiliated, read our conflict of interest guide and disclose your connection.

Liberland draft edit

I read through your draft before replying at ANI, and corrected a few technical issues (as you've already spotted). There's also a couple of issues with sources;
First Beijing Law Review is a predatory journal, the article may well still be reliable but it wouldn't hurt to find a different source.
Second Parlamentní Listy isn't a reliable source. There's not much detail on enwiki but the Czech wiki had a page on them (cs:Parlamentní listy). -- LCU ActivelyDisinterested «@» °∆t° 16:37, 15 March 2024 (UTC)Reply

As an after thought, if you're going to be using short form references such as {{sfn}} I would suggest turning on the associated error messages. You can find details of how to do so here Category:Harv and Sfn template errors. -- LCU ActivelyDisinterested «@» °∆t° 16:41, 15 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
Thank you very kindly for your fixes and also for your advice.
I know the Beijing Law Review is not ideal, but I wanted some colourable source, any colourable source, that dealt with this particular Liberland misconception specifically in the context of Liberland, in order to avoid accusations of OR. My range of options was limited because Liberland's absurdity is so self-evident basically nobody feels the need to explain it much. I'll be swamped with work for the rest of the month but I'll try again in April; the article proper is probably locked until then anyway.
I also know Parlamentní Listy is shit, which is why I contextualised them as "activist-journalists accompanying the settlers". I'm using them as the source for two specific facts with respect to which we can treat them as reliable because (1) Parlamentní Listy are clearly shilling for Liberland, (2) the facts in question are a bad look for them. I understand the requiring the article from the BLR, it's a common issue that reliable sources spend little time on issues that are obvious nonsense. Maybe try expanding the attribution for Parlamentní Listy piece to better explain it's presence, that way it won't just be removed by someone spotting a dodgy source. Don't worry about when your can get back to it, there's never a deadline on Wikipedia. -- LCU ActivelyDisinterested «@» °∆t° 01:02, 16 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
