Proposed deletion of Dennis Hale (vocalist)

edit

The article Dennis Hale (vocalist) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Fails WP:Band which states that members of a notable band do NOT qualify for a separate article unless: 1. They are notable apart from the band or 2. They were members of two or more notable bands. This individual fails on both these counts and thus does not qualify for a separate article.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. You can't use word of mouth as a source. It has to be reliable, third party sources. Newspapers. Magazines. Books. That kind of thing. Ten Pound Hammer, his otters and a clue-bat • (Otters want attention) 19:16, 18 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

I have a lot of paper work to back up ALL the info on this page from news papers / Fan mags / letters wrote by Dennis Hale I even have copys of birth certificates I will email or post on line if I need to.

  • Letters written by him won't work, nor will birth certificates, because there's really no way for the average reader to verify them. Newspaper and magazine articles are fine because those are typically archived somewhere. In fact, you don't even need to give us a hard copy. You can cite the article in a footnote, like so:[1]

And then put {{reflist}} at the bottom:

References

  1. ^ Doe, John (11 May 1955). "Dennis Hale blah blah blah." Anytown Gazette.

Ideally, you can also include a short quote from the newspaper article within the footnote. Ten Pound Hammer, his otters and a clue-bat • (Otters want attention) 21:28, 18 August 2011 (UTC)Reply
