Start of experiment edit

This is my first "sandbox" experiment, trying to re-work the US 4 article at least as far as I can do it and be accurate. I know I won't get it all. But I invite commentary here, heck feel free to edit cautiously where you need to. I've taken from the original article (open the current US 4 article in a separate window or tab to compare), and added what I know from having driven the entire NY and what I remember from having driven all of VT and most of NH. I want to have it up to the standards, before I create a separate article for the New York (state) section. Fwgoebel 05:25, 1 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

This version is actually very well done. I made some minor changes to it to meet WP:USH standards, but all in all, this is very good. --TMF Let's Go Mets - Stats 06:39, 2 January 2007 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for the comments & cleanup (now that I actually see it in practice, I get a better understanding of it). I'm wondering if I've got a bit too much detail in the New York section? I think that if I tone it down to towns and routes passed, I could instead get into more detail in a separate New York article.Fwgoebel 15:11, 2 January 2007 (UTC)Reply
It's possible that there may be just a bit of extra detail in the NY section, but I wouldn't worry too much about it for now. I'd say leave it as is for now, then trim it down to general routing and towns/routes passed once the US 4 in NY article is made. --TMF Let's Go Mets - Stats 16:17, 2 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

What to do with this talk? edit

Since this is a sandbox project (that I will port over to the actual article shortly), should the talk here be put there as well? After porting, I plan on clearing out this sandbox and starting a new project (probably the reference marker article I've been wanting to do) so the talk that's here now won't be pertinent to that. So is it common pracctice to take the talk from here and append it to what's already at that article, or just forget about it? Fwgoebel 20:50, 2 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

AFAIK, there's no common practice for this type of thing. Personally, I wouldn't worry about moving the talk. --TMF Let's Go Mets - Stats 20:58, 2 January 2007 (UTC)Reply
It's just as easy to add talk there about what was done here, and take up far less space, at that. Fwgoebel 22:31, 2 January 2007 (UTC)Reply
