Technically, you are permitted to have more than one account, as long as you don't use them in an abusive manner. Basically, you can't use them to comment twice on the same discussion, or evade blocks on your main account, or use both to revert so as to get around WP:3RR. That said, there are good reasons to have alternate accounts. Many admins have a second account to use when contributing through public computer terminals, so that if there's malware installed (or the connection is insecure) the main account with the admin tools isn't compromised. Also, some users want to use an alternate account to contribute to topics where they'd don't want to have those contributions logged in the history of their main account. Those type of alternate accounts are fine as long as they aren't used to cheat the system. It's encouraged to state (on the alternate accounts' userpages, for example) that those 'legal sockpuppets' are alternate accounts of a certain user where possible, to keep everything out in the open and to prove that the user isn't doing anything bad. —Scott5114 [EXACT CHANGE ONLY] 18:48, 19 June 2008 (UTC)

Some admins probably use this to fight for vandalism by using another account, showing they may be unable to view user's questions.--Freewayguy Msg USC 20:36, 19 June 2008 (UTC)

So what people says is not neccessairly true? I have people bugging me because he got suspect of sockpuppet, and I'm no longer letting him bargain this on my talkpage.--Freewayguy Msg USC 20:49, 19 June 2008 (UTC)

"waste of computer source"

Hey there! Just to let you know waste of computer source isn't really a valid deletion reason. You see, when a page gets deleted it still really in the Database, but moved to the archives table. So when an object is deleted it uses more resources then before. I hope this clears that up. CWii(Talk|Contribs) 03:47, 20 June 2008 (UTC)

This means the template is duplicate, and does no use. I just dig through TFD, and look it over few times to decide if it should be delete or not. I don't usually mind if they get delete or not. It just got boring, so votes keep me active. Just to practice for admin materials, I try to go through DRs.--Freewayguy Msg USC 17:56, 20 June 2008 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Interchanges of I-105

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Interchanges of I-105, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Rschen7754 (T C) 08:58, 21 June 2008 (UTC)

  • Well, somebody add 3 additional infobox on I-105 rticle, by Artisol's leftover proxy. He is still upset with me, just becasue he's accuse of sockpuppets. This is only wasting or consuming his time and energy, and almost becoming his main focus in life. I said many times, is not me who accuse him. I wish he can just think about something else.--Freewayguy Msg USC 00:12, 24 June 2008 (UTC)

Re: New Mexico

I'm afraid you're asking the wrong guy. I've never even been west of the Eastern Time Zone. ----DanTD (talk) 01:04, 25 June 2008 (UTC)

Everyone seems to be inactive on Wiki. I been to Washington, DC once, that's 3 years ago. i've never been to Mountain or Central Time Zone, besides Chicago and Denver Airport. i live in Pacific time, South Ornge County, Southern California, I know freeways well there, thats Los Angeles-Orange County.--Freewayguy Msg USC 01:28, 25 June 2008 (UTC)

I don't know anything about New Mexico. I've never been there and don't know anything about it, though I've heard they are awful. DandyDan2007 (talk) 10:58, 25 June 2008 (UTC)
Actually, I consider myself a Long Islander trapped in Florida. ----DanTD (talk) 12:27, 27 June 2008 (UTC)

Making shields

You have to save one of the shield templates from the commons and open that up in Inkscape. See Wikipedia:WikiProject U.S. Roads/Shields/Guide.-Jeff (talk) 01:47, 25 June 2008 (UTC)

If you don't have the roadgeek fonts on you computer yet then you need to install them. Those are the fonts used on the shields so that the text appears as it does on real shields. For shield templates, you can go to WP:USRD/S/T. Find the one you want then click on it to go to the image page, then right click the link below the image and select "save link as" or whatever the equivalent is in your browser, this will let you download the file to your computer. Remember what folder you saved the image in and then open it up in Inkscape and you can start editing it.-Jeff (talk) 03:23, 25 June 2008 (UTC)
Off wiki. Series B-F should be all you need, to install the fonts follow these steps:
  • Click the button to download Series B-F
  • When the ZIP file is done downloading, unzip it (click "extract all files"), when you are asked which folder to unzip to, type in
    %windir%\fonts
. The fonts should get installed automatically when you do that, which means you will be able to use them in all of your programs, most importantly Inkscape.-Jeff (talk) 03:48, 25 June 2008 (UTC)
It depends on what browser you have. Click "OK", "Download", or "Save", whichever one of those you see.-Jeff (talk) 04:02, 25 June 2008 (UTC)
Ah, so you're in WinZip. Click OK.-Jeff (talk) 04:10, 25 June 2008 (UTC)
Sure, I can make shields for you, just not right now. It's late here so I won't be on for much longer, so if you want you can make a request at the shields task force.-Jeff (talk) 05:28, 25 June 2008 (UTC)

Off-topic discussion

But I don't know how to use the blue link to post message there. I wish I do. Unfortunately I never been to New Mexico, so I don't know. Some DOTs may be even worse, I don't know many northern or eastern states use salt to pave, when white sonw melts black tars crack like a eggshell. Pennslvania DOT may have worse problems than New Mexico or Oklahoma, doesn't matter if interstate-guide colors it black, purple or blue to specifiy interstates. I don't know how to post message on google or yahoo chats, becasue is not an encyclo.--Freewayguy Msg USC 23:13, 25 June 2008 (UTC)

No, that's not how it works. You have to provide an email address. Besides, your Wikipedia talk page is only for people to contact you regarding things you have done on Wikipedia. Wikipedia isn't a social networking system like MySpace or Facebook. —Scott5114 [EXACT CHANGE ONLY] 01:43, 26 June 2008 (UTC)

Intersections

Are you sure about the consensus for merging with the road articles? Just asking. DGG (talk) 02:31, 26 June 2008 (UTC)

Of what article?interchange of I-105? I got a DR notification, when I open the page I saw a purple tag.--Freewayguy Msg USC 03:55, 26 June 2008 (UTC)

Venus

I've never heard that Venus would survive the Sun's red giant phase. The only question was whether or not Earth would survive. Serendipodous 06:42, 27 June 2008 (UTC)

Venus can survive over white dwarf if it gets lucky. It have less chance to survive than Earth will. Mars might survive, but not certainly. See your talkpage for additional info.--Freewayguy Msg USC 18:07, 27 June 2008 (UTC)
