Custom Wars

edit

Hi - thanks for your message on my talk page. In response, the Custom Wars article is listed for deletion because I believe it hasn't yet met Wikipedia's guidelines for notability (which can be found here: WP:NOTABILITY. In a nutshell, there doesn't seem to be any major coverage yet of the game. If this is incorrect, please by all means provide some references in the article, or join the deletion discussion here: Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Custom Wars.

If after the discussion your article is indeed deleted, but your game turns out to be a big hit after the release (and then meets WP's notability guidelines), you can always request undeletion at that point.

In any event, let me know if you need any other assistance or guidance. Thanks --AbsolutDan (talk) 05:19, 16 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Hey, FLFX (can I call you that? I'll presume I can), I recommend you see this link this it's helpful when dealing with many things in and especially out of Wikipedia. I should know, I'm an aspiring (read: need exposure) filmmaker. :P Yanksox (talk) 05:25, 16 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Again thanks for your civil responses to this. The deletion discussion will best determine the outcome of the article. Yanksox posted a good essay above - there's also guidelines about future events -- See Wikipedia is not a crystal ball. I do hope, however, that your launch is successful and that a Wikipedia article on Custom Wars will be well warranted in the near future. Best of luck! --AbsolutDan (talk) 05:33, 16 June 2006 (UTC)Reply
Yes I do have AIM - I however must hit the sack as I need to wake up for work in 6 hours! I'll be around at some point on Sunday though. You can send me an e-mail with your screenname by clicking this link: Special:Emailuser/AbsolutDan. You can also ask for help from other Wikipedians by adding {{helpme}} right here on your talk page, or by posting your questions at the Wikipedia help desk here: Wikipedia:Help desk. Userfying

edit

Userfying content is fairly easy - just add the content to your user page (which I see you've already added some content to). It's that easy! --AbsolutDan (talk) 20:29, 21 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

You mentioned that you might be able to provide references for the article? If so, I would deeply appreciate it. --tjstrf 21:27, 29 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

So please tell your friends who like electronic music and are willing to put in hours writing about it. Please add any projects you are working on to the list - I will gladly help out with them as best I can. Since the original project founder has been MIA for 9 months or so, I'm declaring myself pseudo-king and cheerleader of this Wikiproject. Basically, that probably means that I'm just going to do the most work related to this project for now. For anyone who is reading this: PLEASE TELL YOUR WIKI AND REAL-LIFE FRIENDS WHO ARE INTERESTED IN ELECTRONIC MUSIC ABOUT THIS PROJECT! We need active members!
