Orphaned non-free media (Image:The Alan Parsons Project.jpg)

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:The Alan Parsons Project.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 14:19, 17 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Making Movies Song

edit

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Making Movies Song, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.lyricsbay.com/making_movies_lyrics-straits_dire.html. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 18:14, 18 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Making Movies (Song)

edit

A tag has been placed on Making Movies (Song) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Making Movies (song)'s lack of sources

edit

Hi, I noticed that you created Making Movies (song), but listed no sources for the information contained in the article. According to Wikipedia's content policies, all information must be verifiable from reliable sources. Therefore, it's necessary to cite your sources so other editors can check that the information included in the article is correct and matches the sources used. Information not previously published in such sources is prohibited as original research, since other editors can't verify it. Unsourced information may be challenged and removed at any time, and articles that can't be verified are likely to be deleted. Guidance on how to cite your sources is available, and if you need any further help, feel free to leave a message on my talk page.--Unscented (talk) 20:20, 18 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Making Movies (song)

edit

The article Making Movies (song) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

So far notability hasn't been established for this unreleased song.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the Proposed Deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The Speedy Deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and Articles for Deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. AniMatedraw 05:26, 25 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Songs of Ascent

edit

I understand that you're eager to edit Wikipedia and provide information about the forthcoming U2 release, but it is entirely too early to start creating an article for it. Articles on songs or albums are not created until we have actual concrete details, such as a confirmed release date, tracklisting, and title. The release date for the next album has continually been pushed back, the tracklisting is unconfirmed and, with you only listing seven songs, likely incomplete, and the title isn't even confirmed as being Songs of Ascent. Yes it is likely since that is what the band has referred to it as since 2009, but with it being known that there are at least two other albums also in the works, we don't know for sure if Songs of Ascent is going to be the next release, or even if that is what the final title will be. In addition, the name you have been writng, Songs Of Ascent, is grammatically incorrect (the "of" is lowercase, as we have kept it in every single article).

No Line on the Horizon was deleted several times because users kept creating and re-creating the article far too early. We have gathered the information on Songs of Ascent into No Line on the Horizon for the express reason that we can transfer it over when enough details about the project are known for an article to exist. Please see our policies on original research, verifiability, and writing about future events. I understand you are eager, but this is quite simply just far too soon for an article to exist since it may not even be the next release.
