Welcome! edit

Some cookies to welcome you!

Welcome to Wikipedia, Felix Basinger! I am Narutolovehinata5 and have been editing Wikipedia for quite some time. I just wanted to say hi and welcome you to Wikipedia! If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page or by typing {{helpme}} at the bottom of this page. I love to help new users, so don't be afraid to leave a message! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Oh yeah, I almost forgot, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); that should automatically produce your username and the date after your post. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and ask your question there. Again, welcome! Ways to help edit

There's a bunch of ways you can help out. Fortuntately or un, many require some knowledge of wikipedia's policies but fortunately most policies are pretty easy to grasp. I recommend a review of the simple ruleset, a quick glance of WP:5P, then there's the comprehensive list of ALL policies and guidelines (WP:P&G) but that's more of a reference manual than something to read end to end. I've also written an essay you may be interested in, for newcomers (User:WLU/Generic sandbox). But if you're looking to jump right in:

  • Wikipedia:Disambiguation pages with links - other pages link to these ones, but that's inappropriate. As disambiguation pages, they are lists of commonly-confused terms. If a page links here, it almost always means someone went to go to one of the specific pages that the DAB page attempts to link to.
  • Wikiprojects are lists of people and articles who are interested in specific topics. If you can find a wikiproject that interests you, you've a built-in list of pages that need help and people you can ask.
  • The Category:All articles needing copy edit list ALL pages that require some sort of proofreading.

Those are some starting points, you could also just click on the random article button and see if you can improve the page you end up on. WLU (talk) 14:37, 14 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
