Conflict of interest policy edit

  Hello, Fbeguin99. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Also please note that editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. --Ronz (talk) 18:00, 12 February 2019 (UTC)Reply

Hi Fbeguin99. Thanks for the comments on my talk page.
While there is no requirement that you do so, it would help if you could declare what conflict of interest you have with Biagio Di Franco.
In the meantime, I suggest you work from edit requests on article talk pages, rather than directly editing articles related to Di Franco. --Ronz (talk) 17:08, 13 February 2019 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for you patience with me, since I am making my first step to Wikipedia.When I am trying to write on the discussion page of "consumer behavior", there is a warning saying that I have conflict of interest ?! Does it means that i cannot write anymore ? Since I would like to propose a phrase on innovation,how can I add my participation. I have no conflict of interest but how can I prove it ? Thanks a lot. --Fbeguin99 (talk) 20:22, 13 February 2019 (UTC)Reply

If you don't want to make a declaration, that's ok.
How did you obtain the photograph of Di Franco? --Ronz (talk) 20:58, 13 February 2019 (UTC)Reply

"Yes you are wright I did not asked at the Conference to use the picture. I will take it off and first ask to use it. About my working situation I filled in my profile on my user page.Thank you for your good advises on wikipedia. It is nice to have someone like you to guide me through this new way of communicating and participating to science and knowledge.Best Fbeguin99 (talk) 11:02, 14 February 2019 (UTC)"Reply
I'm looking someone fluent in French to help. I don't think you understand enough of what I've written here. I hope that my assumption that you are fluent in French is correct. --Ronz (talk) 17:00, 14 February 2019 (UTC)Reply
@Cornellier: has offered to help.
I've combined the comments from my talk page into the discussion above so it's easier for others to help. --Ronz (talk) 00:24, 15 February 2019 (UTC)Reply
Bonjour Fbeguin99, et bienvenue parmis nous ! Ronz ne voulait que vérifier que vous n'avez pas de conflit d'intérêts (COI) tel que decrit ici au sujet de Biagio_Di_Franco. (English translation: [welcome] ronz wants confirmation that there is not COI per [link to french] --Cornellier (talk) 02:27, 15 February 2019 (UTC)Reply

(Response copied below:--Ronz (talk) 16:57, 15 February 2019 (UTC)) I have understood that you wanted to know if I have conflicts of interest. I have red the page that you indicated me and can assure you that I have no conflicts of interest. I wanted to participate to wikipedia and for my first steps I took the profile of someone brillant that has recieved an international award at an international conference where I assisted also. I have filled in also my user profile to be more transparent. Yesterday I contacted Dr Di Franco & Dr Walsh and they gave me the authorization to publish the picture. I hope you will be secured. Thank you for you interest and your patience. I am just learning this new tool. --Fbeguin99 (talk) 09:19, 15 February 2019 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for responding.
Could we keep the discussion here on your talk page?
Do you think it helps having Cornellier available to communicate with you in French?
One final question about the potential COI situation: Do you or your business draw upon or highlight Di Franco's work? --Ronz (talk) 16:57, 15 February 2019 (UTC)Reply

No I do not. In English it is ok. Thanks !

So, do you or your business draw upon or highlight Di Franco's work? --Ronz (talk) 02:40, 16 February 2019 (UTC)Reply

No,nor me nor my business. As I told I have chosen this person for my first step on wikipedia but I would like to communicate more on innovation and marketing which are my basic education topics. Just that i tough that it was sufficient to fill in his user profile to prove the transparency. I am bran new on wikipedia and I am glad that you take care of the accuracy of the information and be patient with me since I am just discovering how to best contribute.--Fbeguin99 (talk) 11:59, 18 February 2019 (UTC)Reply
