Hello, Faithmartin, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Elysia and I work with the Wiki Education Foundation; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.

I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. You may also want to check out the Teahouse, a community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to helping new users. Below are some resources to help you get started editing.

Please don't replace citations with ones that other people cannot see without a password. I have no idea what some of those references are because they are blocked to those without access. Your edits have created problems for other readers. Please fix them before they all get removed. Hzh (talk) 14:34, 3 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hi Faithmartin the issue is when you insert a citation that is to your library website. It takes non-students to this page where it says "Authentication Required This resource requires your MyCharleston credentials to access." This is not how a citation should work. The reader (and other Wikipedians) have no way at all of knowing what kind of source you're citing, or if the source supports what you've added. Instead, try clicking "journal" on the cite toolbar options and pasting in the DOI (it starts with 10.).
Hzh I was able to fix the reference issues by using the Citation bot (the DOI was part of the URL that was added). Thanks for leaving feedback here so I saw and could make sure it got fixed. Elysia (Wiki Ed) (talk) 17:55, 3 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
