Royal Soldiers Topic Deletion

i hav clearly shown how my topic Royal Soldiers is important but you keep deleting it saying that I am not showing its importance. why are you deleting my article if it meets wikipedias requirements?

I deleted the article once, as have three other administrators. Random MMORPG guilds do not come close to satisfying Wikipedia's notability guideline. 01:24, 1 February 2008 (UTC)

Most phallic building

Just wondering, Was the Most Phallic building article speedied, or did it undergo a full AfD back in September? (see User_talk:JJJ999#Most_Phallic_building), is the present article a recreation of the deleted one, or was it moved to it's present location? Hi Pete, that article was apparently speedily deleted (though I'm not sure which criteria it qualified for SD under). The AfD for it would exist at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Most Phallic building if it existed, and I can see by the deleted contributions that it wasn't prod-ed, so I can only assume it was speedied. The current article is basically the same as the deleted one, with more sources. Without a doubt it is improved, though in my opinion it still falls well short of establishing notability. faithlessthewonderboy. Please restore my user page. I was working on it when you deleted it. The copy right infringements that you and Fuhgehettaboutit accuse me of is an error. January 2008 Fuhghettaboutit (Talk | contribs) deleted "Antebellum Bulldog" ‎ (CSD G12 - unquestionably a copyvio) I am the original owner and released the information under the wikipedia guidlines GFDL and GNU. I was waiting to hear from him to post it, when you stepped in. I have been working on this page to meet the wiki requirements sent to me from Acroterion and Irridescent. Not that I mind rebuilding it over and over again, I understand that it will be that way until everyone has had a chance to look it over, however, let me finish with Fuhgehettaboutits requests before you delete the work my user page. Faberge corrections

The Rothschild egg was previously published and exhibited in France. It is an unsubstantiated and highly subjective claim to say it is considered the best of the Non Imperial eggs. Many members of the Faberge World do not believe it can be legitimately be called a Faberge Egg at all. The Rothschild's bought it as a clock in 1902 and described it as a clock. They were a devoutly Jewish family and would not celebrate Easter or associate themselves with Christian rituals and symbols. However, his offenses are few and far between, and he's usually a reasonably constructive editor. Hi. Regarding this edit and others similar to it, it is clear that User:Hordak89, User:Bigjimsanders, and various UK-based IPs are the same person. This can also be corroborated by looking at their edit histories, [1], [[2] - they edit the same actors' pages. I don't know exactly how egregious this case would be considered to be, or if it can be considered direct vandalism, but as you're an admin, you would probably have a better grasp of these events - or at least seen similar incidents before. You said that only Pro athletes are article worthy. This is not true in skateboarding. In skateboarding "AM Skaters" are held in just as high regard as PROs. Mike Mo has landed tricks no one else has. He has been in several national pro company skate movies, and he is only 17. He has also been featured in articles by Thrasher magazine and Transworld, the two biggest skateboarding magazines. In skateboarding, many skateboarders regard the X-Games as "retarded." He has one many competitions including a few pro competitions. Hey Faithless, I know you and i have been going back and forth in the past over that PTI 'Nig Finish' and in the process I've learned a good bit of Wiki and come to appreciate it more. I'm actually mailing you to ask your opinion on whether DLong's comments on the nig finish discussion page can be construed as personal attacks. Though he doesn't mention anyone by name, he does imply a good bit. Just wanted to get your 2 cents.

Well, he certainly could have expressed himself better. If you're asking if it requires admin intervention, no, not yet. His tone was a bit unnecessarily vitriolic, but nothing he has said has been that egregious, and the only inappropriate comments were made five days ago. You (or whoever it was) has dealt with his comments in the correct manner, reminding him to comment on content and not the contributor. I would have said something to him myself had I not decided to leave the discussion. I'm keeping an eye on it though, mostly just looking for personal attacks at this point. Julio Bermejo

I would ask that you please restore my new page about Julio Bermejo. He is a very important person in the world of tequila. I tried to explain in the article, and provided links to some major publications in english that he has appeared in over the last few years. I did not elaborate more on the nature of his business endeavors for fear of the article being deleted as marketing/pr, which it is not.

I respectfully ask that you read one or more of the news article links that I provided and so you can understand that he is definitely important enough to have his own page. I am sure that over time me and other wikipedians can help flesh out more exact details of Julio and update the page accordingly. I feel strongly that it is very important that Julio's significance in the world of tequila appreciation be documented as such.

It would be very helpful for the page to be available for the community to help us in formatting it exactly and expanding it rather than having people completely delete new things every day. I understand Veropedia to be the place for things which are absolutely finalized.

Jean Bennett

I'm guessing that you deleted Jean Bennett because I had not finished. I'm not a young, savvy computer literate person. I'd be happier typing on my IBM Secletric and could sure use some guidance. I've read the instructions, and I don't understand the "sandbox" at all. Bennett should be on wikipedia because she was the first woman executive in the music business. She was songwriter/producer Buck Ram's business partner and she, not Ram or anyone else, has been the owner of The Platters since 1966. I also need some help linking Rams's and The Platters page to Bennett. All of this can be verified at www.BuckRamPlatters.com and other sites. Bennett is 85, and she would love to see an entry on wikipedia before it's too late for her to read it. The page you're talking about was deleted after an AfD; that being the case, it could have been deleted on sight by any administrator following its recreation. After it was recreated, I realized the possibility that someone could theoretically search Wikipedia for that character, so I redirected it to the article for the series. This was being generous. Since you insisted on recreating the article against community consensus, I had no choice but to delete it. I have never heard of the show, nor am I a bureaucrat, nor am I enforcing anything which is "stupid and unpopular." FSB Ripcord

Being new to Wikipedia I have been trying to add pertinent information regarding Operation Texas Star and the battle of Ripcord that I have developed over seventeen years, mostly from my own research. Some of my units action was included breifly in Nolans book, "Ripcord..." on page 115. This action for whatever reason was covered up, I located it through S-2 and S-3 files. I am a member of the Ripcord Association. At my home page I have Maj Gen John J Hennesey's After Action Battle Report of Op Texas Star, along with the 1970 324B Battle plan for 1970 taken with permission from Maj Gen Harrisons book, "Hell on a Hilltop". I consider Maj Gen Harrison a personal friend. Forgive me for not understanding the proper protocal for adding info. I am learning as I go. Throughout the battle my unit conducted reinforced recon operations and in Aug 1970 my unit conducted a two week BDA off Ripcord.

Anti-Vandalism

Okay, I'm just wondering, is there a way to have the Recent Changes list only display pages in the category "Articles" by default? I know you can change the amount of recent changes displayed by default, but I'm getting tired of having to click "Articles" every time. Actually, is there an easier way altogether? I'm currently using Twinkle, and rollback that was recently granted to me. But all I'm doing at the moment is patrolling the Recent Changes for vandalism. What you could do (if you're using Firefox that is, I'm not sure about IE or Opera) is set all the settings to your preference and then save the page as one of the "bookmarked shortcut tabs" (I don't know the technical name). Then every time you want to refresh it, all you have to do is click that tab, and you will be taken to the Recent Changes page, set to your specifications. I've done this with both RC and New Pages. On a personal note, I like to have recent changes to all the name spaces displayed; some (such as user pages) are nearly always vandalism. Also, I set mine so that only IP edits are shown, which makes it much easier to spot vandalism (though admittedly you'll miss vandalism from registered accounts).
