Hi. When you recently edited Porsche RS Spyder, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Wishbone (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 48 hours for edit warring, as you did at Automotive lighting. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding below this notice the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.

During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection. - King of 11:51, 28 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

Photo choices / Bikini article review request

edit

American model and television hostess Michele Merkin

Hallo!

Just wanting to say that you have some very good taste in user page fav' image media! beautiful women, cats, fast German cars, jet planes/military hardware...are we aesthetic clones? or you are the German-version of me? hehe... I thought your choices especially impressive as evidenced by the fact that we're sharing an image (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Michele_Merkin_2.jpg). hehe. Her other pics are fairly amazing, too, and one is now being utilized as the featured bikini article picture: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Michele_Merkin_4.jpg (shown at right, hopefully?).

Speaking of bikini girls, if you have any feedback on both the image choice for the bikini article itself, and the compact gallery that concludes the article as a subsection within it, please feel free to share (on the article talk page, I am guess?). Actually, I would like to (in)formally request your assessment of image selections for the article body (and gallery), b/c feedback from someone with obvious very refined perceptions would be great when I've been the only editor in recent months w/ much interest in bikini article. I actually for a time was using one of the images you'd uploaded, and for sure will add a couple of them to the http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Bikini now, but i will refrain right now from editing them into bikini article as obviously I would like your feedback first.

You truly seem like a person who could add value to the article w/o any BS while making critical, constructive advice flow. I'd be super-eager for someone to swoop in and quickly assess the appropriateness and quality of the image selection and hope you can spare a few minutes to do this. And like I am saying, if you want to share any feedback on the article talk page that would probably be good, but you can respond to me here too/instead (either way works fine for me!). Thank you in advance!...

So yes...I have been browsing through your commons media gallery of uploaded images while typing up this posting on your wikipedia user talk page, and am even more impressed! I realize you did not author the images, but still think it reveals great character and class to consistently associate oneself with such "quality" media. Oh, I can see why this would be in your gallery of favorites: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Lovely_(nude_outdoor).jpg Truly bravo, sir - bravo!

(I really like this Porsche GT3RS image, too: http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Orange_997_GT3_RS_rear_view.jpg)

Cheers! Azx2 18:18, 16 June 2013 (UTC)Reply

Johannes Steinhoff Bundesarchive photos - can they be added to Commons?

edit

Hello - I would greatly appreciate the favor of a reply, because I am unsure how to proceed. On Bundesarchive there are two pictures of Johannes Steinhoff taken before the crash that destroyed his face: Bild 101I-454-1066-20 and Bild 183-H26031. Can these be uploaded to Wikimedia Commons and used on Wikipedia? At present on Commons there are no pre-crash pictures of Steinhoff, so the value of these images would be significant. I wrote to you before concerning a more frivolous topic but never heard back, but I really hope you can take time to assist in this more serious case. I'm not at all familiar w/ the use of historical images from archives like Bundesarchive and I don't want to go off half-cocked and make a mess of things. I truly hope to hear from you. Thanks! ArbCom elections are now open!

edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
