As well as the wiki community pages there are IRC Channels, where you are more than welcome to ask for assistance.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask me on my talk page. Thanks and happy editing, Alphax τεχ 6 July 2005 13:18 (UTC)

Welcoming Committee
editI see you joined the WP:WC, and I see you added your name to the TOP of the list. Ah well not a big deal. Welcome to the committee. For an example of how to welcome someone also see User:Redwolf24/Welcome. Redwolf24 07:48, 10 July 2005 (UTC)
Also, there are a number of templates available, see Wikipedia:Standard_user_greeting. Welcome to the team! -- Essjay · Talk 08:02, July 10, 2005 (UTC)
Fine welcome. But lemme make it easier on you so you can add to clipboard (Ctrl+C) without viewing the source. Redwolf24 11:03, 10 July 2005 (UTC)
- Just a side note: You can add it to pages by typing {{User:Exir Kamalabadi/Welcome}} . -- Essjay · Talk 11:08, July 10, 2005 (UTC)
- <_< >_> Go to your welcome now and add to clipboard. :) That didn't take as long as it did to do on my welcome page but thats cause when I did it on mine it was my first time. Redwolf24 11:11, 10 July 2005 (UTC)
- Thanks, Redwolf!Exir Kamalabadi(Talk)(contribs) 12:19, July 10, 2005 (UTC)
- Hey Exir. Just checking up. Still welcoming people? Also, just wondering, what is your native language? Redwolf24 06:41, 13 July 2005 (UTC)
- Yes, although I am having some hard time finding new users. My native language is Chinese, but I don't contribute to the Chinese Wikipedia. Exir Kamalabadi(Talk)(contribs)
- Good signature there by the way. Anyways, I replied to you on my Talk page. Redwolf24 10:52, 13 July 2005 (UTC)
- Here's a welcoming tip: Go to the recent changes page, and look for users (not IP address, though) that have red (talk) links beside thier names; if the link is red, they don't have any messages on thier talk page, so they haven't been welcomed yet, and chances are they haven't been here long. I did that yesterday and I'd guess I welcomed about 100 people during the day. -- Essjay · Talk 11:19, July 13, 2005 (UTC)
Essjay

SS Andrea Doria - Wreck image
editI saw that you recently included an image of the wreck of Andrea Doria. Though I believe it is an excellent addition to the article, the questionable copyright on the image is raising some concerns, especially since I am thinking of nominating the article for FA. Can you confirm that the image is indeed fair use? Pentawing 05:40, 19 July 2005 (UTC)
- Yes, it is ( I see this image is used in a lot of articles, so if it isn't in the Public Domain, it is Fair Use--Exir Kamalabadi | Contributions 06:12, July 19, 2005 (UTC)
- In that case, can you give me some more information concerning the image so that the copyright tag can be modified accordingly? Thanks. Pentawing 21:02, 20 July 2005 (UTC)
- Well, I saw it in a website about classic liners, and I also saw some identical (at least for me) images on other websites. The only thing I don't know is it's copyright status
Thanks
editThanks for voting in my RfA; I promise I'll wield my sacred mop with care. If you ever need me for anything, you know where to find me. Thanks again! -- Essjay · Talk 15:20, July 20, 2005 (UTC)

Barthelme
editNice job on that image! He's deserved one for a while. Kudos, --Dvyost 13:12, 21 July 2005 (UTC)
Thank you. I thought that it's a pity there isn't any images of him, so I added one.--Exir Kamalabadi | Contributions 13:24, July 21, 2005 (UTC)
lease don't remove "copyedit" templates unless you're confident that you've done the required work. In this case, you left the article in a poor condition, with some very shaky English. --Mel Etitis (Μελ Ετητης) 16:31, 21 July 2005 (UTC)

thanks for supporting me
editHello, just a quick note to express my gratitude for your support of my RfA. I'm sure I'll become a familiar face on places like the Administrator's Noticeboard and Requests for Adminship, as well as the murkier parts of my new job. "From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked." (Luke 12:48, NIV) Never was a truer word spoken. I feel empowered, yes, but not in the "oooh cool delete button!" way I was kind of expecting. Already I feel the weight of the responsibility I have now been entrusted with, a weight that will no doubt reduce given time. Thank you for believing in me. :) GarrettTalk 10:09, 22 July 2005 (UTC)

Admin Nomination
editAlphax, are you already an admin? if you are not, will you mind if I nominate you for RfA?--Exir KamalabadiContribs 02:41, July 27, 2005 (UTC)
- I'm not, but I'd like to wait until I have a few more contribs in the article namespace. You're not the first person to suggest it BTW. Thanks for asking though. Alphax τεχ 02:46, 27 July 2005 (UTC)

editHello Exir Kamalabadi, the Charter for Esperanza is up. Take a looksie :) Redwolf24 (talk) 02:48, 19 September 2005 (UTC)
Esperanza made less bureaucratic
editHello again, I have (unilatterly) taken away the 'assembly' idea, as per my reasons at that edit summary and per Wikipedia talk:Esperanza/Charter. I have left the admin general, as some leadership is good. Now, all you have to do is be a member to establish consensus, the whole assembly idea is gone. Also, I have added an advisory committee, of four members, with limited power besides watching over the admin general and making sure he doesn't do anything stupid. Please look at the ammended charter, and I would love a comment. Redwolf24 (talk) 00:01, 21 September 2005 (UTC)

From a fellow welcomer and Esperanzian...
edit... I just wanted to note that you have a little typo in your user page. "Welcoming committee" should only have one m. I hope you don't mind my pointing this out... Spelling Error 2
editThere's a paragraph on your user page that reads "I used to just think of Wikipedia as an exeptionally good encyclopedia, but when I found out that I can edit almost any page inside this terrfic pool of knowledge, I was absolutly trilled. Imagine that! Just one simple edit and you might benefit thouthand or even millions of knowledge hungry people!" "terrfic" should be terrific, "absolutly" should be absolutely and "thouthand" should be thousand. Hope you don't mind me pointing this out. All the best, Vizjim 12:17, 26 September 2005 (UTC)

Edit
editI've taken advantage of your suggestion that visitors edit your userpage. Specifically, I removed two redundant public domain tags and the wikipedia logo; it was looking a little crowded, methinks. I've also corrected several spelling and grammer mistakes, and added a few contractions. I generally rewrote several parts to make the text flow better. I think it's much improved by those few changes, but feel free to revert any changes you disagree with. ^_^ --Pathoschild 22:48, 26 September 2005 (EST)

editExir-- Thank you for your strong support on my RfA. I know we have not interacted much here on WP, but that makes your support mean that much more to me. Hello Spamlist!
editAh, my first ever spam mass produced and mailed to the spamlist. Well first of all let me re-state that we have an irc channel, #wp-esperanza, and its been rather empty, so I'd appreciate it if you come, even if you just idle about. Now, the evil polls have closed, and I left a justification note for running the evil polls. Nothing has really changed, but at least I have somewhat of a consensus. I hope to figure out a way to overturn my power to JCarriker somehow, I'll figure out a way :-) Meanwhile, I've been busy reforming the mediation system where I am the chairman now, er, acting chairman. Enjoy your spam, with extra vikings. Redwolf24 (talk) 00:36, 1 October 2005 (UTC)
