Zlatko Krasni edit

please note, EvokeNZ, that although I am certainly looking at Zlatko Krasni in a friendly way if from a considerable distance, I did reluctantly include and restore a reference which is highly problematic for him, since it links him to a set of people he does not seem to belong to, didn't I?

it is, as you will realize, a very difficult task to assess the mess that such countries as Serbia are in, especially when you meet people and more so if you intend to build bridges instead of destroying them. here is the reason why I wrote a stub in the first place: in English, to widen the possibility of contributing even to the remoter areas of the globe.

so don't get hectical and read my comments as an attempt to present an unbiased view or, as you have it, NPOV. It is certainly an outside view and I should appreciate it if you, knowing Serbian so well, could help me out to improve my judgment; unfortunately, I do not know any slavic languages at all.

therefore, I can only judge the translations of Krasni's works into the languages of Western Europe or the very rare comments I have found about him in these languages. Apart from personal observation, of course - but this, I know, counts as nothing in the virtual world of wikipedia ... however, I do feel that you no longer doubt the poet's existence. that, at least, is something.

Stubsensor edit

Welcome to Wikipedia and StubSensor :) When working Stubsensor you don't have to strike out articles as you do them [1] (but you can if you want to), once you have taken a set people will leave it alone while you work it. Jeepday 02:47, 13 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

League of Copyeditors roll call edit

Greetings from the League of Copyeditors. Your name is listed on our members page, but we are unsure how many of the people listed there are still active contributors to the League's activities. If you are still interested in participating in the work of the League, please follow the instructions at the members page to add your name to the active members list. Once you have done that, you might want to familiarise yourself with the new requests system, which has replaced the old /proofreading subpage. As the old system is now deprecated, the main efforts of the League should be to clear the substantial backlog which still exists there.
The League's services are in as high demand as ever, as evinced by the increasing backlog on our requests pages, both old and new. While FA and GA reviewers regularly praise the League's contributions to reviewed articles, we remain perennially understaffed. Fulfilling requests to polish the prose of Wikipedia's highest-profile articles is a way that editors can make a very noticeable difference to the appearance of the encyclopedia. On behalf of the League, if you do consider yourself to have left, I hope you will consider rejoining; if you consider yourself inactive, I hope you will consider returning to respond to just one request per week, or as many as you can manage. Merry Christmas and happy editing, The League of Copyeditors.

Your input requested edit

Hi. A proposal on the re-creation of WP:RUSSIA is currently underway at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Russia/Proposal. One of the main points is that we should have workgroups covering different topics. We are trying to ascertain the interest of editors in various workgroups under WP:RUSSIA, such as history, politics, biographical, etc; as your userpage indicates you are Russian or live in Russia, perhaps you can take a read of the proposal, comment on it wherever you have thoughts, and perhaps provide details of any Russian topics you may be interested and are willing to collaborate with other editors on? Your input is valued. Cheers. --Russavia Dialogue Stalk me 20:23, 2 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Invitation to an in-person meetup in Mohua / Golden Bay edit

Golden Bay Air are holding some seats for us until 21 November

Thinking about your summer break? Think about joining other Wikipedians and Wikimedians in Golden Bay / Mohua! Details are on the meetup page. There's heaps of interesting stuff to work on e.g. the oldest extant waka or New Zealand's oldest ongoing legal case. Or you may spend your time taking photos and then upload them.

Golden Bay is hard to get to and the airline flying into Tākaka uses small planes, so we are holding some seats from and to Wellington and we are offering attendees a $200 travel subsidy to help with costs.

Be in touch with Schwede66 if this event interests you and you'd like to discuss logistics. Schwede66 09:14, 13 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
