Hidden text edit

Hi, if you have comments or explanations for your editing or suggestions for improvement it is normal to add them to the article talk page. Hidden text within articles is normally kept to a minimum, the link above lists some situations where it may be appropriate. Thanks (talk) 23:01, 16 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

Non-free images and Hogwarts staff edit

Per terms of WP:NFLISTS, I've removed the images you added to this article. This results in them being orphaned, and subject to deletion. Please do not restore them. If you have questions, ask. Thank you, --Hammersoft (talk) 22:59, 8 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

Death Eater Image edit

Hi, I don't know the bald bloke, or the bloke on the far left of the image, can you update the article with their details if you have them please. Cheers Carl Sixsmith (talk) 21:30, 10 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

  • The blond man on the far left is Yaxley, he's in the article, but it's very blurry in that picture. I don't think the bald man is named. Evil Genius77 (talk) 22:01, 10 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

Cast on Harry Potter edit

I don't know why you are deleting some cast information on the Harry Potter films and I am assuming good faith on that. But please be careful, you seem to have broken some references. Make sure you fix that. − Jhenderson 777 21:28, 15 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

Yeah you taking it to the discussion page is the reason why I assumed good faith. − Jhenderson 777 21:37, 15 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

Reference Help edit

You seem not sure how to source references. I used to be like this until I found the handy tool under "My Preferences" -- look under "Gadgets". Check the box by "reftools". You should see the drop-down menu when you edit. (Similar to the "Special characters" and "Help" menus). --Glimmer721 talk 22:48, 15 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

Harry Potter edit

I strongly oppose your changes, for reasons outlined on the Philosopher's Stone talk page. Gran2 13:59, 18 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free image File:Bellatrix Malfoys.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:Bellatrix Malfoys.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Courcelles 03:16, 20 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

Cast edit

You agreed that Bonnie Wright was okay in the cast list of Half-Blood Prince (film), but this has been removed because I tried adding Evanna Lynch as Luna is mentioned in the plot. I'm trying to get this up to GA here because it failed due to lack of reliable sources. If this is based on marketing, I know Lynch got a lot of pubicity, although her character isn't as big as in Order of the Phoenix. The reasoning here? Cheers, Glimmer721 talk 02:08, 17 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Thanks, it just seems strange to me that we should base it on notable actors rather than characters and that makes the cast list section kind of misleading...I shouldn't worry about this until we get rid of all the unreliable sources in HPB and it's renominated for GA. anyway. I was just curious as I'm not up to date with celebrities. Glimmer721 talk 22:36, 26 January 2011 (UTC)Reply
I'd talk to Gran2 as Stone is mainly her project, and I wouldn't list extras in the backgroung even though they have names (Susan Bones, Hannah Abbott, etc.) We usually have the little paragraph underneath explaining the newbies to the cast. I think that characters at least mentioned in the plot should be mentioned somewhere in the credits; it would probably be find if we added them after like you said. We should ask other users who are involved with this first, though. Glimmer721 talk 23:12, 26 January 2011 (UTC)Reply
I see. :) Glimmer721 talk 23:41, 29 January 2011 (UTC)Reply
