Hello, Evidence-based, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions.

By the way, I take it you're the same person who put in the request for Nadia Abu El Haj at articles for creation, right? Either way, thanks for working on the article. Did you notice the note I left on Talk:Nadia Abu El Haj? I left some suggestions for fixing it up. Anyway, let me know if you need anything, I'm always glad to help. Let me know on my talk page if you have any questions or want to discuss anything.

Again, welcome!  Peace, delldot | talk 23:57, 3 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Jewish Voice for Peace and Tikkun (magazine)

edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. As a member of the Wikipedia community, I would like to remind you of Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy for editors, which you appear to have violated at Jewish Voice for Peace and Tikkun (magazine). If you disagree and would like to discuss these articles, please come to Talk:Jewish Voice for Peace or Talk:Tikkun (magazine). Malik Shabazz 01:44, 4 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

I reverted your edits to Tikkun (magazine). Please read Talk:Jewish Voice for Peace for an explanation. If necessary, I will ask for an impartial third-party to review your additions to Tikkun (magazine), as I did for Jewish Voice for Peace. Malik Shabazz 20:41, 4 February 2007 (UTC)Reply
I have asked for an impartial third-party to review your additions to Tikkun (magazine). Please read the comments I left at Talk:Jewish Voice for Peace and Talk:Tikkun (magazine). As I've tried to explain several times, criticism of these organizations is appropriate. It belongs in those articles. All I'm asking is that you document your assertions.
What that means is that you can't write things in an article like "Many Jews feel a, b, c" unless you have an article that says that "Many Jews feel a, b, c." You may believe that many Jews feel a, b, and c -- every Jew you know may feel a, b, and c -- but you need to find reliable sources to document your assertion that many Jews feel a, b, and c.
If you have any questions, please contribute to Talk:Jewish Voice for Peace and Talk:Tikkun (magazine) instead of replacing your edits to those articles. Thank you. Malik Shabazz 04:31, 5 February 2007 (UTC)Reply
Please let's discuss these issues. Visit one of the Talk pages mentioned above and explain why you think your allegations are supported by your references or why your sources are reliable. Or you can post your comments here or on my Talk page. Malik Shabazz 17:57, 5 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Your contributions

edit

I hope you've had a chance to see the changes that have been made to your contributions, especially those at Tikkun (magazine), Michael Lerner (rabbi), and Jewish Voice for Peace.

I hope you'll take a little time and (a) review the change logs on those pages and (b) read the links at the top of this page, especially Wikipedia:How to edit a page and Wikipedia:Manual of style.

Your contributions are important, but you shouldn't copy and paste material directly from your sources. Review some of the ways in which other editors have changed your contributions to see how to turn your links to outside sources into footnotes or external links. If you can, "Wikilink" your contributions (link words and phrases in your contributions to other Wikipedia articles).

As I've written before, if you have questions, please ask. There are plenty of people who would like to help. Every article has a Talk page (click on the Discussion tab). You can post a message for any editor on her/his personal Talk page as well. Malik Shabazz 19:03, 13 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Jewish Voice for Peace

edit

I deleted your latest contribution to Jewish Voice for Peace, because I couldn't figure out what Rabbi Youdovin's criticism of JVP is, or what his vague phrase "certainly beyond the pale" means.

I cut and pasted your paragraph to Talk:Jewish Voice for Peace (so it's not lost), and I've explained my problems with it in further detail there. I hope that you'll join the discussion and help explain what specific criticism of JVP is in the column. Thanks. — Malik Shabazz | Talk 06:03, 4 March 2007 (UTC)Reply
