Some tips edit

Hello EvanBrown, thank you for your efforts to improve branding-related articles on Wikipedia. Unfortunately several of your good-faith edits have been reverted previously. I hope you don't mind a few tips: when adding content, please make sure to provide an independent reliable source to verify all information. Commercial sites and PR platforms are usually weak references - they don't have editorial oversight but a clear financial stake in the topic, touting their own horn with "white papers" and other forms of self-published marketing. Instead of such problematic sites, editors should use independent non-promotional sources such as books, journals or other non-promotional publications from acknowledged experts. An editor's personal knowledge - even from topic experts - should not be added without such a published source for verification.

Secondly, Wikipedia as an encyclopedia does not try to offer advice and guidance about its topics (see WP:NOTGUIDE), but describes objective verifiable facts from an uninvolved, dispassionate point of view. Especially first- and second-person language should be avoided. You'll find additional information about encyclopedic language at WP:FORMAL and its included links. I hope, these tips are helpful and you'll decide to continue contributing to Wikipedia. If you have any questions please feel free to ask on my user talkpage or at WP:Teahouse, a forum for new editors. Best regards. GermanJoe (talk) 13:42, 18 April 2019 (UTC)Reply
