Proposed deletion of JeeYeun Lee

edit

The article JeeYeun Lee has been proposed for deletion because under Wikipedia policy, all biographies of living persons created after March 18, 2010, must have at least one source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't take offense. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners or ask at Wikipedia:Help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. roleplayer 12:59, 20 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

JeeYeun Lee

edit

Hi! I left some notes on the article's talk page that may help explain what is needed to improve this article. The main issue is that it is not clear that Lee meets wikipedia's criteria for notability; I recommend checking either WP:BIO or WP:PROF for more information. Please ask me if you have questions. Hi again, Erin.milling. You may (if you're still checking Wikipedia) have noticed that a AfD (Article for Deletion) discussion has been opened for JeeYeun Lee. This means that, for the next 7 days, people will comment on the article on whether or not it meets our guidelines for inclusion. Right now, the problem is that nothing in the stub demonstrates that JY Lee meets our notability guidelines. I added some more references (her being quoted in the Chicago Tribune in 2003 and 2004), but I'm not sure that that is enough. If she Lee is mostly famous for her work as an academic, the right set of guidelines to look at is WP:PROF. I'm hoping that, as the article's originator, you might know more about where to find references to her or her work to establish that she meets the notability guidelines. I would be happy to help you make the necessary additions if you need help formatting references, etc. Qwyrxian (talk) 01:57, 23 September 2010 (UTC)Reply
