Supercharger compression ratio edit

Supercharger blower ratio refers to the number of times the supercharger impeller spins compared to the number of times the crankshaft spins. It has nothing to do with the compression ratio, which is fixed(with a very few exceptions), and does not vary with the supercharger speed setting. Engine Specs edit

I have created a few new articles recently and cant get the engine specs to display properly. You advised me in the past any chance of having a look and finding out what I have done wrong please (I presume I have copied and pasted something wrong!). Latest are Airspeed Viceroy, Caudron Typhon and Caudron Aiglon. MilborneOne 19:34, 4 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

((verify)) edit

Do not do so again. That in my humble understanding is bad faith editing. If you prefer that I drop [citation needed] all over the article I shall do so. I believe that the article does not provide anywhere near the level of inline citation that is demanded of such an article. I do not believe that FA status is a vaccine against such a status. I object to the (rv) and the bad faith comments and I really object to the WTF comment. Please attempt to be more professional in the future. I went and checked and 3 sections have not 1 single inline citation? How does that work? cheers Tirronan 05:56, 17 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Unspecified source for Image:J33.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:J33.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self-no-disclaimers}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 18:34, 24 March 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. MECUtalk 18:34, 24 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

AC-130 and B-52 edit

I'm thinking of adding to both pages that the AC-130 was used as a strategic bomber until the arrival of the B-52 in Viet Nam, since C-130s were used occasionally to drop bombs to make clearings in forests. Would that be OK with you? - BillCJ 07:03, 8 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Moving pages edit

User:Chrislk02 is a member of the WPAir project, and he has offered to help members with things like this. I try not to impose on hime too often, and he is offline on some weekends. Variable geometry wing edit

Mate, I undid your copy/delete and moved the page instead. It needed to be done by an administrator, since the destination page already existed. The reason for moving it is that it preserves the page's history. - Richard Cavell 06:34, 16 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Aircraft infobox edit

Thanks, I moved the <noinclude> section, and didn't realize that wikimedia would interpret that as a bunch of blank spaces. I will check prior to moving next time. --Born2flie 21:18, 16 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

D... Chris just put a formal nomination in on recreated Survivors page... Bill and NawlinWiki are involved too. That Dave guy is not learning now to do his editing, moves, and referencing properly... and ticking off folks. Life in the big city. Side note, our new Jule is doing some testing of various agents and new preservatives on the right side of 84K and documenting her research for you, Steve, and I. She's very methodical. Also, hope you can make it out to B-17 event, too. Hope you're doing well, laters.... LanceBarber 18:26, 21 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free image (Image:Wild weasel patch.jpg) edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Wild weasel patch.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 21:40, 10 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Template:Airtest edit

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Template:Airtest, by Mike Peel (talk · contribs), another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Template:Airtest is a test page.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Template:Airtest, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. --Android Mouse Bot 2 21:41, 24 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Fair use disputed for Image:A.W.52.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:A.W.52.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. effeietsanders 12:08, 27 July 2007 (UTC)Reply
