Speedy deletion nomination of Veriff edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Veriff, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Adiós muchachos edit

Dear Ehitaja, I listened to the words of the German version of « Adiós muchachos »: "Zwei rote Lippen und ein roter Tarragona". I wrote the lyrics down for you. Here they are:

Two red lips and a red tarragona
This is the most beautiful thing in Barcelona
You drink and kiss under the blossoming chestnuts
Such a hot love can only be found here in Spain

Two red lips and a red tarragona
And you are happy with your Doña
Because when a girl kisses you in Barcelona
She gives you the kingdom of heaven on earth

I don't remark any political dissidence. In my opinion it's simply a kitschy, cheesy hit text.

("ein roter Tarragona" --- a red wine from the Catalan Tarraogona-region)

Kind regards from Germany

Hi. No, I didn't think there'd be any, essentially (although you never know what might become politically 'undesireable' under an authoritarian regime, of course; I'm mildly amazed they didn't ban all tango as 'bourgeois' and 'decadent' in socialist countries). In Christoph Hein's story, the text was altered by students to mock Walter Ulbricht in an unspecified way, which was noticed by Stasi and led to the jailtime for everyone. My point was just that this German version is culturally significant and should be described in Wikipedia. But as the sources about its exact origins are conflicting, it'd be probably better if they were studied by someone who knows the cultural context well and actually understands German in detail, whilst I can only gleefully dabble in that fine language. --Ehitaja (talk) 16:26, 17 July 2020 (UTC)Reply
