Edits to Stop Hate for Profit

edit

Current Title: 2020 Facebook ad boycotts; Update to Stop Hate for Profit Current intro sentence: The 2020 Facebook ad boycotts were a group of boycotts that took place during the month of July 2020. Much of the boycotts were organized by several advocacy groups under the Stop Hate for Profit campaign. Over 1000 companies have participated in the boycott. Revised: A coalition of organizations launched Stop Hate for Profit in June 2020, asking companies to pause spending on Facebook and Instagram ads for July 2020. The campaign, "asked companies to help [it] send a message that Facebook must stop valuing profits over hate, bigotry, racism, antisemitism, and disinformation."

History: Current: On June 17, the Anti-Defamation League, the NAACP, Color of Change, Common Sense Media, and Free Press revealed the Stop Hate for Profit campaign through a full-page ad in the Los Angeles Times. Edit: On June 17, ADL (Anti-Defamation League), the NAACP...

Participants: Add: More than 1,000 companies from corporations to small businesses and over 100 nonprofits from racial justice, human rights and labor groups to religious organizations, and innumerable individuals joined the campaign.

Questions: How to replace boycott with ad pause? How to update the list?

Hello! If you are employed by the ADL and are making edits related to your employer (e.g. inserting ADL as a source), you need to say so clearly on your user page. See WP:PAID. Thanks.--- Possibly (talk) 23:01, 25 March 2021 (UTC)Reply
