Welcome!

edit

Hey, Editor Zero 999, welcome to Wikipedia! Infinity happens to be on my watchlist, and I saw your revert of the blanking by the IP: thanks. You seem to know the drill, but just in case, I'm gonna drop one of the standard "welcome" templates on your page, since they have some links that might be useful. I wanted to write something out myself first, though. Cheers, and happy editing! Writ Keeper  19:28, 14 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

Thanks, I was watching the recent changes to see what kinds of things get edited when I saw that. Editor Zero 999 (talk) 19:29, 14 March 2016 (UTC)Reply
Yup, that's a good way of both finding vandalism and just generally seeing how stuff works. Anyway, the promised template:

Just wanted to let you know that to the extent your attempts to clean up the vandalism in this article got reverted, it isn't because of you! While you got rid of some of the offensiveness imposed by the 205 IP, there was actually some more pernicious stuff from earlier in the morning that you may not have seen. I think I have the article back to the latest un-defiled version. Thanks for helping--take care! Julietdeltalima (talk) 20:34, 14 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

Oh my, sorry about that. Thanks for letting me know. I'll try to be more careful. Editor Zero 999 (talk) 20:51, 14 March 2016 (UTC)Reply
Oh, no, please! this is not anything to stress about! It happens to everyone, and this was, in my view, a particularly tricky scenario. 99 times out of 100 (or even less often), ClueBot reverts to the last stable version and provides you with a reasonable place to roll back to. This was one of the only times I've ever seen that the vandalism escaped ClueBot's clue-bottiness and led to a reversion to a vandalized version of the article. I actually had to go back and expand the rollback and I think that has happened zero other times ever to me. Julietdeltalima (talk) 23:44, 14 March 2016 (UTC)Reply
