Hello, Eddieelks, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I notice that one of the first articles you edited was Third Man Theatre, which appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been undone for this very reason.

To reduce the chances of your contributions being undone, you might like to draft your revised article before submission, and then ask me or any other editor to proofread it. To start creating a draft article, just click your user name at the top of the screen when you are logged in, and edit that page as you would any other. If the page you created has already been deleted from Wikipedia, but you want to save the content from it to use for that draft, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.

The one firm rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. It is also worth noting that Wikipedia generally does not allow editors to have usernames which specifically link them to one company or corporation. If your username does have such a name, it would be advisable for you to request a change of username.

If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! You can also just type {{helpme}} on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! --Drm310 (talk) 15:20, 6 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

Third Man Theatre edit

Hello! I have done a few more edits to the Third Man Theatre article. Here's a quick summary of what I did:

  • Removed the phrase "award winning" from the lead section (too promotional). Perhaps a separate "Awards" section would be more appropriate.
  • Rewrote your references to become inline citations. You can have a look at the template {{cite web}} for help in writing those. They automatically get displayed in the References section where the {{Reflist}} tag is. Remember to only cite reliable sources. Also your Stalag Happy entry is close to citation overkill - it's better to cite one or two great sources instead of a stack of average ones.
  • Tagged a couple of your previous productions as needing citations. Finding sources for those would be desirable. I also removed the OffWestEnd.com link as it doesn't seem to contain any meaningful information about the Botallack O'Clock production other than "it's great".
  • Added some categories to your article so that it's not an orphan.
  • Reworked some of the section headings. There's more information about those at MOS:HEAD and WP:Section caps.

Another thing you should consider to avoid future conflict of interest warnings from other editors is to go to the article's talk page and declare your interest. In other words, reveal that you represent or have an association with the article's subject. The two main advantages of doing this are:

  • You will benefit from the assumption of good faith. Most editors will appreciate your honesty and try to help you.
  • You lay the basis for requesting help from others to post material for you, or to review material you wish to post yourself.

If you haven't already, I'd advise you to review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Conflict of interest and familiarize yourself with the rules of editing articles you have an interest in. I think you've done a good job so far, and I've removed the conflict of interest tag from the article. Feel free to contact me again for help should you need it! --Drm310 (talk) 02:35, 8 March 2012 (UTC)Reply
