Modified images and historical correctness edit

Thanks for your effort to modify the image. Personally I liked the image. But article aims to tell the user factual information. Touched (modified) images decrease the value of the article. The "authentic" images improve the factual correctness of the content. People do perceived "modified" images as trivializing the content. Historical true would advise you to include the image in the Ataturk's gallery in Commons. That page has been in poor condition for a while. --Rateslines (talk) 07:04, 6 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Gokturk Flag edit

Okay, look. This is really starting to annoy me. The Gokturk flag has NO source whatsoever. There is that Turkish site, but as I can't read it, it is not useful. The only other site with that flag states: "To the best of our knowledge, the historical existence of most of these flags is not proven and we are not aware of their origin and designer." Therefore there are no sources as to that flag's existence, and I do not think it belongs on a FACTUAL encyclopaedia. Rcduggan (talk) 23:30, 13 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Just because you add two sources doesn't make it credible. The first is just a picture of a flag, which does not mean it was actually used. As is said of your first source on Flags of the World: "To the best of our knowledge, the historical existence of most of these flags is not proven..." so it is not definitive proof that the flag exists. The second site does not work, thus cannot be used to verify it. Furthermore you have reverted three times, which is against the rules of Wikipedia. Rcduggan (talk) 16:23, 14 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

RE:About flag of Göktürks edit

I realize that there are other sources. However, the only reason I am going after this flag is because there have been other flags from that site that were removed as unsourced as well. There were at least three more deleted. So I do not think this one should be any exception. Rcduggan (talk) 12:27, 15 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Photos in Turkey edit

Hi! Thanks for your compliments about my photos. Unfortunately when I was in Istanbul, the weather was not very good and most of my photos were not as good as I hoped. It was very hazy and cloudy (and rainy) most of the time. I really enjoyed the country though and would love to go back another time soon. :-) Diliff | (Talk) (Contribs) 12:06, 3 June 2008 (UTC)Reply
