A page you started (Margaret Cairns (Peggy) Etter) has been reviewed!

edit

I have just reviewed the page, as a part of our page curation process.

Thanks for your new article on Margaret Cairns (Peggy) Etter. I wonder if the title of the article should actually be "Margaret C. Etter" because that appears to be the byline she used in her official publications, while "Peggy" was a friendly nickname among colleagues. You may know more about how she used her name during her career, but Wikipedia article titles should reflect the name that a reader is likely to search for. I suggest that a reader is more likely to search for the name from her publications. If need be, head to my talk page User talk:Doomsdayer520 to discuss further.

@Doomsdayer520: I have no strong opinion on what the name should be and am open to change it, indeed I thought about it for a while and eventually decided to use the title of the Chemistry of Materials memorial article. It seems that professionally Margaret C. Etter is used (including for the title of awards in her name), and informally most people called her Peggy (throughout the memorial issue this name is always used). Perhaps Margaret C. (Peggy) Etter, or include "known as" in the info box?

Okay, I will adjust the page title to "Margaret C. Etter" and will add some "known as..." info in the header area. ---DOOMSDAYER520 (Talk|Contribs) 22:34, 14 November 2018 (UTC)Reply

Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for calculation the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. See User:RonBot for info on how to not get these messages. Thanks for your message. I found the link (which could well serve as a source) while searching for an obit. Is there any information on her family? Best wishes, Kablammo (talk) 16:58, 15 November 2018 (UTC)Reply

@Kablammo: I had not come across this obit before and is a useful source with some further details of professional activities. It was previously published in Molecular Engineering (1992) 2, 213-214, and I also had not come across this before either. Many thanks for your edits on my first Wikipedia article!
