Hallo and welcome to Wikipedia. I have reverted the changes you made to Sudha Bhuchar because you seem to have removed all the existing content, which included several references to Reliable independent sources, overwriting it all by an article you have created from scratch in your sandbox which depends almost entirely on sources associated with the subject, the websites of her two theatre companies. You also destroyed all the infrastructure at the bottom of the article, the External link, categories, DEFAULTSORT, etc, which another editor helpfully rescued.
This isn't how Wikipedia works. If there is an existing article on a topic, improve it. If you consider it to be such a bad article that it needs to be completely scrapped in favour of your own work, explain this clearly and politely so that other editors can understand why you think your contribution is better.
Some constructive comments on the article as you wrote it:
- You have not linked to any other Wikipedia articles - please provide some links, this is the essence of a hypertext system like Wikipedia. You didn't even link to Tamasha Theatre Company.
- "King's Lynn Norfolk, a London suburb"! No. Norfolk is a long way (by UK standards) from London and the residents of the ancient town of King's Lynn would be deeply offended at being described as suburban Londoners. You must have misunderstood a source, or the source itself was wrong.
- When you re-use a reference, you should give the reference a name and then use the standard technique to combine instances of the one reference. Your 12 references are only 6 different refs, all but one of them associated with the subject.
Please expand the existing article by adding the extra sourced material you have written, but without destroying the work of other editors unless you can explain why you think it appropriate to do so. Use edit summaries to explain what you are doing - they are not compulsory but are a courtesy and a help to other editors, who can then perhaps understand why you are doing what you are doing. - Thanks PamD! Dpepowski, I agree that the content needs work. To give an example of the King's Lynn Norfolk point, the town is almost 100 miles from London. It looks like this was likely taken from Bhuchar's website, where she says that she settled in "London via King’s Lynn Norfolk". The only thing I can figure is that she was using the King's Lynn railway station to get to London or it's meant to say that she first settled in Norfolk and eventually moved to London once she had her feet under her. Something I do want to caution you about is tone - the sections about Bhuchar's work talk about her work with a fairly glowing tone. While her work is definitely awesome, the article needs to be written more neutrally. It's not bad, it's just that this is something to be careful about when using primary sources since they typically use non-neutral phrasing to describe themselves as a form of promotion, which can make it harder to write objectively.
- If you do re-add content after working on it, I would recommend making small edits and using the edit summaries to show what you're doing, since it can be a big help.
