Speedy deletion nomination of Rademaker BV

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Rademaker BV, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Cabe6403 (TalkSign) 15:39, 16 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

Please do not use Wikipedia to promote businesses, such as you did in the article Rademaker BV. Wikipedia is not the Yellow pages. If you want to list a company for potential customers to find, please consider alternative outlets. Thank you. Cabe6403 (TalkSign) 15:40, 16 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

Hi there, your article was deleted as it contained promotional terms and acted like an advertisement for the company. You asked why it was deleted yet companies like Phillips, McDonalds and Burger King all have articles, for that I will refer you to the guidelines for notability. Here on Wikipedia we require that all article subjects be notable in order to have an article. If you read through the notability requirements you can post here what criteria you believe Rademaker BV meets.

Regarding your statement that 'you want to make a company profile', please see Wikipedia is not a directory. Finally, the email you sent me comes from a Rademaker.nl email addres so I can assume you are working for the company. This means you have a conflict of interest with the article subject so should avoid working on this article. It doesn't mean you can't work on the article but it makes you more likely to run against our policy on maintaining a neutral point of view. As with any subject here on wikipedia, if it's notable an article will be created sooner or later. It's highly unlikely that the articles on Phillips, McDonalds, etc are created and maintained by McDonalds employees. If Rademaker BV is notable then someone else will come along and write the article for you.

Finally, if you should wish to work on the article again I would suggest you read up on the wikipedia policies I've linked along with reliable sources and verifiability, and consider running it through the articles for creation process. If you have any questions you can ask me here or on my talk page Cabe6403 (TalkSign) 07:43, 17 April 2013 (UTC)Reply
