Please put the edits on hold until a resolution with a strong adminstrator edit

Hi, please do not restore those inappropriate categories all the categories are still unresolved. I have talk to a strong administrator and I am waiting for the administrator's response to me and you about those mistitled categories. Like I said please do not revert put the St. Albert categories on hold until the administrator's response just wait patiently until the administrator's response for a resolution. I was very extremely scared and angry on myself for blanking my talk page. Please don't be angry wait patiently and put the edits on hold until a resolution from the administrator. OK? Thanks for you consideration. 2001:569:7C07:2600:F936:CC:F2B7:68A0 (talk) 03:28, 18 December 2019 (UTC)Reply

2001:569:7C07:2600:F936:CC:F2B7:68A0, I certainly agree to put edits on hold until this can be resolved. If you would rather discuss on my talk page than yours, that is fine. What I would suggest to you is that instead of immediately going to an administrator (strong though they may be), that you attempt to resolve the situation with me yourself. You should have come to my talk page to discuss it, rather than urgently demand that User:Bearcat do something immediately. I left you a response on his talk page, but I would rather keep discussion here. Maybe we can resolve this without the intervention of an admin.
Now that said, I see you would be in favour of simply renaming some of the categories. If you would like to drop the "S" in Category:Sports in St. Albert, Alberta, I am all for it. I was on the fence myself about that. Some categories have the "S" (ie. Category:Sports in Akron, Ohio), and some don't (ie. Category:Sport in Edmonton).
As to Category:Schools in St. Albert, Alberta, I must insist that stays. There are at least 30 schools in St. Albert, 9 of which already have articles. That is already enough for a category. And you will note that there is a Category:Schools in Edmonton. I don't see why you would object to that.
Category: Recreation and Parks in St. Albert, Alberta Could perhaps be renamed Category:Parks in St. Albert, Alberta, as there are certainly many categories on Wikipedia that follow that format, with of course the caveat that the articles on the parks in St. Albert need to be written first.
As to the rest, I am willing to work with you on a one by one basis for each one.
I look forward to your response.

I don't think Category:Parks in St. Albert, Alberta that is unlikely created, Servus Credit Union Place is the only arena is St. Albert, Alberta and it's not a park. Also Category:Sports in St. Albert, Alberta to be renamed Category:Sport in St. Albert, Alberta per sister categories Category:Sport in Edmonton and Category:Sport in Alberta by city it is always per Canadian naming conventions per WP:CANADA.
I know you created some school related articles in St. Albert, Alberta so pay attention and write down the list on a notepad on If its an elementary school write down under "Elementary schools in St. Albert, Alberta" and if it's a high school write down under "High schools in St. Albert, Alberta". Once the list is completed and whatever is on the list under "elementary schools in St. Albert, Alberta". You may create Category:Elementary schools in St. Albert, Alberta and whatever is on the list under "high schools in St. Albert, Alberta". You might create Category:High schools in St. Alberta, Alberta too. This is my suggestion to you and I wish you good luck on creating school related articles. All the best and good luck to you. 2001:569:7C07:2600:F936:CC:F2B7:68A0 (talk) 04:06, 18 December 2019 (UTC)Reply
I have resolved in part I put the Schools category from now on. Remember about the list I know you will try creating 30 article about schools in St. Albert, Alberta. Remember my previous reply about the list. Once its created Category:Elementary schools in St. Albert, Alberta and Category:High schools in St. Alberta, Alberta might be created once the list is completed. Once again I bid you farewell and good luck to you. 2001:569:7C07:2600:F936:CC:F2B7:68A0 (talk) 04:18, 18 December 2019 (UTC)Reply
2001:569:7C07:2600:F936:CC:F2B7:68A0, thanks for working with me on this. Hope to see you around. Could always use more help editing the St. Albert articles. Cheers,  DiscantX 10:45, 20 December 2019 (UTC)Reply

Just to be clear, the rule on here is not that every populated place automatically gets a "Subject in Place" category as soon as there's one thing to file in it — there have to already be four or five things to file in it before a category of that type is justified. If there are only one or two, leaving it as a WP:SMALLCAT, then the things just stay in "City" and "Subject in [Province or State]" until more articles exist to get the category to the necessary size, and don't automatically get an intersected subcategory. Bearcat Thanks for clearing that up, I will be more careful in my category creations. It isn't an area I have delved too deeply into in the past.  DiscantX 10:45, 20 December 2019 (UTC)Reply

October 2021 edit

List of senior high schools in Alberta edit

What are you doing? You broke several links, you added unnecessary redirects, and you restored an offensive school name that has been changed. And that was certainly not a minor edit. Meters (talk) 08:33, 27 October 2021 (UTC)Reply
