Hello

Hi there,

I would love to join in but for the fast approaching semsester end.

Quickly, a few first thoughts:

1. The motivation for the conquest - The very reason Persia was invaded was because it's Zoro rulers rejected islam. A messenger was sent to the King with 2 options submit to Islam or war. The very motivation for the conquest was the promotion of islam and religious persecution was the logical consequense that followed.

2. It is essential to establish a time frame, since the article is on the Muslim conquest of Persia, one needs to make a distinction between persecutions during the course of the conquest and those that happened after it. This would refer persecution by the invading armies under umar. Let me see if I can dig up more dirt this rogue ;)

3. Sources - There is no dearth of references regarding persecution of Zoros, but you'll have to lookup the specific timeline within the context of the article to provide a source. Persecution was rampant and documented after the fall of sassind empire. Which is when Persia was officially in the hands of the Arab beduins.

4. My references - I began writing up article with few off hand sources which I knew in the long run wouldn't hold ground (such as the economicexpert.com), however I was replacing them with solid references such as books and journal papers. There are many books cited in the reference section of the article, some are comletely available on links, you can search through them.

I will chip in as time permits, and will forward you relevant references soon.

A curious question, am I speaking to a Pakistani Zoro?

hi, You better see this before u revert my edits, the book zoroastrians, their religious and believes when mention about the humiliations gives reference to this book by Tritton pg.227.

Tritton mentions the whole passage with a decisive and clear statement at the end tht i have not been able to discover wht authority the writer have for these statements, so he himself isn;t sure whether they are true or fabricated. See it at page: 227.

Pictures of Transitional Fossils

Hello, I'm contacting you because you appear to have done some work on List of transitional fossils. The problem I'm facing is this. I'm interesting in making a video and other content in favor of evolution, and I want to show pictures of the fossils in chronological order, i.e fish -> amphibians -> early reptiles -> mammals, etc. However the wikipedia page is showing only the drawings and not the fossils. There are only drawings because most of the original pictures are under copyright. The Smithsonian website [3] [4] has good photos and a pretty generous fair use provision, but IANAL so tread with caution when using them. Nowimnthing (talk) 20:22, 14 March 2010 (UTC)
