Your article was very undersourced, but I glanced around and he is covered in serious media, so I chucked in just one footnote and published. That said, it needs some work:

• Encyclopedia articles must be dry; you can't wax poetic and speak eloquently about the nature of society. Please, "just the facts, ma'am". No "he was a warm person" or "In those days, things were different, and..." Please just give undisputably factual, neutral facts about his work and its impact.
• You really need to find more WP:References. Where did all this info come from? If you don't tell the reader where it can be verified (books of comedy history? Newspaper articles?) then they have no way of knowing you didn't just make this up. Personal knowledge, or asking his family/friends is not admissible (see WP:No original research). Find published professional works that mention him and his career.
• I see you tried to add an image of him, but didn't get it right. What you can do, since he is deceased, is upload one single image of him, despite copyright, which is legal under WP:Fair use for the deceased. To do so, download the image onto your desktop, and upload it to Wikipedia using the "upload file" link in blue down the left-hand margin of the page. You must fill out the form clarifying that it's a photo of a deceased person (thus legal), and let the form know where you got the image from. If you have trouble, ask for help at WP:Teahouse.

EDIT: it appears you copied a lot of the content from http://www.nytimes.com/2002/02/10/classified/paid-notice-deaths-cohen-emil.html ; that counts as plagiarism, so I'm removing most of the text and leaving the basic core. You can still have an article about him, but you cannot copy-paste copyrighted works. For how to fix this issue, see WP:Plagiarism for how to fix this; I assume you meant it in good faith, so this isn't an accusation but just noting that a different approach is needed. Also, you shouldn't be relying too heavily on a paid classified notice, since there is no guarantee it is accurate. Please stick to WP:Reliable sources from neutral observers.
