A tag has been placed on your user page, User:Denhamblytheco/sandbox, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be blatant advertising which only promotes or publicises a company, product, group or service, and which is a violation of our policies regarding acceptable use of user pages; user pages are intended for active editors of Wikipedia to communicate with one another as part of the process of creating encyclopedic content, and should not be mistaken for free webhosting resources. Please read the guidelines on spam, the guidelines on user pages, and, especially, our FAQ for Organizations.

If you can indicate why the page is not blatant advertising, contest the deletion by clicking on the button that looks like this: Click here to contest this speedy deletion which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy deletion candidate). Doing so will take you to your user talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also edit this page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would help make it encyclopedic. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. --Mdann52talk to me! 14:06, 16 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. Because we have a policy against usernames that give the impression that the account represents a group, organization or website, I have blocked this account; please take a moment to create a new account with a username that represents only yourself as an individual and which complies with our username policy.  You should also read our conflict of interest guideline and be aware that promotional editing is not acceptable regardless of the username you choose: Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a business listing directory, and is not for advertising or promotion of any kind.

If your username does not represent a group, organization or website, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} below this notice.

You may simply create a new account, but you may prefer to change your username to one that complies with our username policy, so that your past contributions are associated with your new username. If you would prefer to change your username, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} below this notice. Thank you. i will be happy to edit my username accordingly.

This page is not unambiguously promotional, because... (I am still writing an article about the history of our company. I am a new user and trying to navigate properly how to build a clean and concise article. The information I have "posted" is only available in the "Sandbox" feature; I was under the impression that the Sandbox wasn't a public page. I apprectiate your feedback, but I would ask that you respect my privacy and timing in building the page. ) --Denhamblytheco (talk) 14:30, 16 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

I have moved this down, because new messages usually go at the bottom of talk pages, in order to keep the conversation in order.
You can request an unblock to change username as explained at the bottom of the blue block notice above, or you can simply abandon this account and create a new, individual one. Your new username may be related to your real name or not, as you choose (see WP:REALNAME for some considerations) but it should not be the name of any other living person, or of any group or company.
Wikipedia accounts must be for individuals only, who are personally responsible for them; that is partly for legal reasons concerned with attribution and copyright, but also because accounts named for groups or companies are evidently here to edit for those groups or companies, and with the best intentions edit with the aim of promoting them; but Wikipedia is not for advertising or promotion of any kind. The important thing to understand, which I personally think we should do more to explain to new users at sign on time, is that Wikipedia is not a place for people or companies to tell the world about themselves. There are "notice-board" sites like Facebook and Myspace for that, but Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, which is different.
Even with an individual account, in anything to do with your company you would have, from Wikipedia's point of view, a WP:Conflict of interest, and should read the Wikipedia:Plain and simple conflict of interest guide - in summary, don't edit directly about any subject in which you have a COI, but suggest changes or draft articles for an uninvolved user to consider.

This user's request to be unblocked to request a change in username has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without a good reason (see the blocking policy). Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:

conflict resolution as noted above Denhamblytheco (talk) 12:47, 17 October 2013 (UTC)Denhamblytheco

Decline reason:

Unfortunately this unblock request deals with the username issue, but does not address the conflict of interest problems noted by JohnCD above. You should not be attempting to create articles on a company that you are affiliated with, and as that seems to be the main purpose of this account I'm hesitant to unblock it. If you do intend to pursue an unblock, it would be helpful if you would explain what articles you would edit unrelated to Denham-Blythe. Jezebel'sPonyobons mots 20:47, 18 October 2013 (UTC)Reply
