See Articles edit

Hi, regarding this, I just wanted to let you know that when we refer to articles by name, we use caps. For instance, if we want to refer to the article about frogs, we can also say: see our article Frogs, or, see Frogs. You'll find many examples of this at MOS:CAPS - Cheers and happy editing! - DVdm (talk) 15:37, 8 December 2014 (UTC)Reply

Portal:Free software edit

Hi! I noticed that you were trying to re-arrange Portal:Free software while editing from a mobile device. I've made an edit which should improve its appearance on mobiles. Can you check whether it worked? -- John of Reading (talk) 08:17, 22 December 2014 (UTC)Reply

No, but I added {{/box-header|}} to each section. And it looked better, there is now toc in the mobile app, and it doesn't change the appearance too much. And thanks for reverting my changes, they greatly damage the format.Degenerate prodigy (talk) 11:00, 22 December 2014 (UTC)Reply
Your latest edits have broken the portal in the desktop view. Note that Portal:Free software/box creates both a header and a footer, and defines an "edit" link - the parts of the portal using this template don't need a {{/box-header|}} as well. -- John of Reading (talk) 11:39, 22 December 2014 (UTC)Reply
I added {{/box-footer|}} to each section, is it now okay?Degenerate prodigy (talk) 14:50, 22 December 2014 (UTC)Reply
The various divs do match up now. However, each box now has two frames and two "edit" links, and I don't see the need for that. Also, the boxes are now all full-width even on the main site. In this version, the boxes are displayed in two columns on the main site but in one column at en.m.wikipedia.org, the mobile site. -- John of Reading (talk) 15:56, 22 December 2014 (UTC)Reply

edits to Arc length edit

It seems you confused "supremum" with "superscript". Please be careful when editing mathematics if you don't know the meaning of the symbols. 24.240.73.179 (talk) — Preceding undated comment added 21:26, 11 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
