Request reason:

What exactly do you think you doing by blocking me? I am entitled to have this user name if I want.

Decline reason:

I am declining your request for unblock because it does not address the reason for your block, or because it is inadequate for other reasons. To be unblocked, you must convince the reviewing administrator(s) that

  • the block is not necessary to prevent damage or disruption to Wikipedia, or
  • the block is no longer necessary because you
    1. understand what you have been blocked for,
    2. will not continue to cause damage or disruption, and
    3. will make useful contributions instead.

Please read our guide to appealing blocks for more information. Smashvilletalk 13:52, 14 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:

Actually I can see no reason why I was blocked since I have done nothing wrong. Is there some logic to these decisions where someone can be blocked simply because another editor doesn't like their username? I have not damaged or caused any disruption to Wikipedia and have made only useful contributions. What more can I say? If this is the way new editors are being treated then maybe I should have never registered. Courtesy is somewhat limited commodity on this site.

You are obviously aware of User:The Maiden City, who was just banned. You are either them or are impersonating them. It doesn't matter one bit to us which is the case, you will not be unblocked so drop the coy "innocent user" routine, it's not going to work. Beeblebrox (talk) 21:04, 14 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

It seems that the rules are made up as you go along on this website. Policy seems to stand for nothing which doesn't really surprise me given what I have just found out. I am not impersonating anyone, I chose to register a user-name of my choice which was accepted by the system. Arguments that my user-name is unacceptable are therefore simply daft. I am not going to register another user-name just because you don't like the one I have adopted. --De Maiden City (talk) 21:12, 14 October 2010 (UTC)Reply
