Hello, I noticed you were the creator of this article. Why did you define a function as 'part of an answer to a question about why some object or process occurred in a system that evolved through a process of selection or was designed with some goal.' It seems that intelligent design is being presented here as an alternative to evolution. I would strongly recommend citing sources if you create any more articles, otherwise they will just have the unreferenced template slapped on them and look a mess. I think you are over reacting with concerns about the intelligent design controversy. I included this part of the definition to describe accurately the application of function to human-built devices as well as organisms. For example, the mouse on your computer has the function of helping you select locations on the screen, and it exists in part because some engineer designed it with the goal of providing a convenient mechanism to accomplish this task.
