Greetings.

I reverted the picture because it appears to have been created as an adjunct to commercial interest. Wikipedia is an encyclopaedia, and is therefore more documentary than promotional. Also, since you identify yourself as an instructor with the organisation that produced the picture, it falls under the Wikipedia:Conflict of interest policy.

Here are links to our useful policies that you've asked about:

There is a lot to learn in a short time, your question was certainly in the right spirit, and you'll find most of us always willing to help. So, I'd like to welcome you to Wikipedia and I hope you enjoy editing here for a long time to come.

If you have any further questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! Fire Star 火星 18:15, 23 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Image tagging for Image:Chaoticharmony.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Chaoticharmony.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Also, adding the above mentioned image to the qigong article while removing a pre-existing image of a Chinese person actually doing a qigong form, especially with the caption that the illustration is somehow the "origin of qigong" without any primary, secondary or even tertiary source for such a statement, isn't going to work. It is just going to be replaced by other editors with a proper qigong picture. The origins of qigong are shrouded in pre-history, and for a modern editor to promote a theory that isn't sourced goes against WP:No original research. Thank you. --Bradeos Graphon 19:55, 29 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of File:Ming tai chi single whip.jpg edit

The file File:Ming tai chi single whip.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

unused, low-res, no obvious use

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.

This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:01, 17 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
