I noticed that one of the first articles you edited was Draft:Donald Hershman, which appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. If you have a username like this, you should request a change of username or create a new account. (A name that identifies the user as an individual within a given organization may be OK.)

- Thanks for messaging me and clarifying all of this. I'm a copywriter based in NYC and don't have any professional affiliation with Donald Hershman.
- I did meet him at an event of his back in September/October and was fascinated by his backstory, his relationship with former partner who was influential, and after looking into his backstory, I noticed he had quite a bit of notable coverage, especially multiple features in The Advocate and Out magazine (major publications within the LGBTQ+ Community) and he's also been a very active artist in come of the biggest art shows around the country. So I felt he would be a good subject to write about.
- I haven't been paid to write this, and its actually my first stab at contributing to the wikipedia community. I love to write, and actually enjoyed the planning process it took to produce this write-up.
- All that to say, I hope this clarifies why I wrote this and would love to see my work published. If you have any feedback and recommendations as to how I can improve the article, that would be great.
- Also, it looks like I've been flagged as a bot and am currently banned from editing? Not sure how I go about fixing that.

Hello, my block reason says i have multiple accounts. Specifically Im a sockpuppet(?) of BrookeCook. I am not that person, Im a first-time contributor to the wikipedia community and I'm learning how to navigate around this platform. Happy to verify identity if necessary. I originally created my Wikipedia account approximately eight years ago. Reflecting on this, my best recollection is that it might have been created either by accident or in the process of making a donation to Wikipedia. Honestly, I was not even aware that my account was this old until it was mentioned. Over the years, I have not made any edits or contributions, primarily because I had not taken the time to learn how to contribute effectively. My focus was on exploring other forms of digital content and honing my skills in those areas.
My first attempt at contributing to Wikipedia was driven by a genuine admiration for an artist named Don Hershman, whom I had the pleasure of meeting recently. His story, particularly as a prominent figure within the LGBTQ+ community and the legacy of his late partner Victor, struck a chord with me. As a young gay man myself, I felt a responsibility to ensure that his contributions and experiences are recognized and preserved within the historical and cultural narrative of our community.
The draft I created was informed by reputable sources, including coverage in significant LGBTQ+ publications such as The Advocate and Out.com, underscoring his notability and the impact of his work. This effort was not borne out of any personal, professional, or academic obligation but rather out of a personal conviction about the importance of his story.
I admit my familiarity with Wikipedia's policies on conflict of interest, notability, and verifiability could be stronger. However, my approach with the draft was to adhere to these guidelines by ensuring that the information was well-cited from credible sources. Moving forward, I am committed to deepening my understanding of these policies to contribute constructively to the platform.
My intent is to continue highlighting notable figures within the LGBTQ+ community who may otherwise be overlooked, contributing to a more inclusive and diverse representation of history and culture.
Regarding the block related to editing content about Don Hershman, I am genuinely unaware of the specifics or the individuals involved. My actions were independent, motivated by recognition of his significance rather than any solicitation or external influence.
