Very good work

If I had seen them in time, I would have acceptedthe regional articles as you wrote them, for I think that It is reasonable to have a general article about the history of each each region, just as we do in Europe and Asia. It's also reasonable to have a general article on each time period, just as we do in Europe and Asia. At the next level, we have articles country by country, with sub-articles in there's enough material.

But it has already been handled differently, and I would only add confusion if I tried to change things in a radical way . There's no clear rule for when and how we split. Even if I think what you did was better, what's been done seems acceptable.
