Speedy deletion nomination of User:QuarkChain

edit

A tag has been placed on your user page, User:QuarkChain, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be advertising which only promotes or publicises someone or something. Promotional editing of any kind is not permitted, whether it be promotion of a person, company, product, group, service, belief, or anything else. This is a violation of our policies regarding acceptable use of user pages — user pages are intended for active editors of Wikipedia to communicate with one another as part of the process of creating encyclopedic content, and should not be mistaken for free webhosting resources or advertising space. Please read the guidelines on spam, the guidelines on user pages, and, especially, our FAQ for Organizations.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. There have been two problems with this account: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business or other organisation or group or a web site, which is also against policy, as an account must be for just one person. Because of those problems, the account has been blocked indefinitely from editing.

If you intend to make useful contributions about some topic other than your business or organisation, you may request an unblock. To do so, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:CentralAuth to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy. Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In that reason, you must:

  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
If you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. Jauerbackdude?/dude. 21:34, 14 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

This is page for company

Decline reason:

Correct. That's totally inappropriate. You won't be unblocked until you realise that. See WP:USERNAME, WP:COI, WP:PAID, WP:PROMO. Yamla (talk) 20:33, 21 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:

This is page for company:https://www.quarkchain.io/, will you please tell me which name i should use or how can i improve ?

Decline reason:

You should use a name that represents you as an individual. Please follow the instructions in your block notice to request unblock along with a new username. You will not be unblocked if you want to continue to violate Wikipedia policy by promoting your company. Please read the policies Yamla mentioned above. I am declining your request. 331dot (talk) 21:17, 22 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

Thank you for let me know, I changed the name to my personal name, is this ok?

Decline reason:

Technical decline, new request made below. Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 07:09, 23 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

It appears that you or someone at your company registered User talk:DAISYQUARKCHAIN already. Please explain. At a minimum this is prohibited meatpuppetry. 331dot (talk) 22:06, 22 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

Please also edit the entire page instead of just the top section; click the "edit" tab at the top, not "edit" next to the "Welcome" header. 331dot (talk) 22:06, 22 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

Sorry about that. DAISYQUARKCHAIN is my account. The account didn't be blocked, but I still cannot edit it. No one reply me so I thought I can change this account to similar name. If I couldn't, can I change it to QUARKCHAINSTAFF?

Since this account is blocked, your IP address is blocked meaning the other account is unusable until this block is lifted. No, "QUARKCHAINSTAFF" is unacceptable as that is a group. My suggestion would be that once this block is addressed, that you abandon this account and use your other one, but you won't be unblocked to edit about QuarkChain. 331dot (talk) 22:29, 22 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

Thanks, I will use my other account, how can I start edit "QuarkChain" page if I won't be unblocked to edit about QuarkChain.

You can't, that is the point. Have you read the policies pointed out to you? You will only be unblocked if you agree to edit about a subject other than that. 331dot (talk) 22:44, 22 January 2019 (UTC)Reply
@331dot: Note that I have now blocked User talk:DAISYQUARKCHAIN directly as well. It is clear that this individual's sole intent is to attempt to promote their company on Wikipedia.-- Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 23:24, 22 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

Also, since my IP address and accounts cannot edit QuarkChain, how can I create other account to edit QuarkChain? — Preceding unsigned comment added by QuarkChain (talkcontribs)

You can't. You cannot edit Wikipedia under any IP or create any additional accounts as long as your remain blocked. You will remain blocked as long as it is evident that you intend to use Wikipedia for promotion through the attempted recreation of an article on your company. -- Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 23:24, 22 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

Sorry, but I still don't understand why I can't edit. I am not using wiki for promotion. Company such as "Apple""Google",they also have wikipedia. — Preceding unsigned comment added by QuarkChain (talkcontribs)

See other stuff exists. The articles about Apple and Google were not written by representatives of Apple and Google, for starters. Wikipedia has no interest in what a company wants to say about itself. Not every company merits an article here, even within the same field. See WP:ORG for what merits a company an article here. Second, there are numerous independent reliable sources with in depth coverage of Apple and Google. 331dot (talk) 23:33, 22 January 2019 (UTC)Reply
(edit conflict) Yes, they have articles. Those articles were created by uninvolved independent volunteer editors that do not have a conflict of interest and includes all relevant information on the company, whether it be positive or negative. Your sole purpose in creating an account is to use it as a platform to promote your company and that is specifically disallowed, both by local policies (WP:NOTPROMOTION) and, in select cases, the Wikimedia Foundation's Terms of Use regarding paid editing.-- Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 23:41, 22 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

Decline reason:

I have done the rename from "QuarkChain" to "DaMaLim", but you are not going to be unblocked to promote your blockchain company, as explained by several people above. Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 07:53, 23 January 2019 (UTC)Reply
