Speedy deletion nomination of Dale Stanley Wilson Jr edit

Please refrain from introducing inappropriate pages, such as Dale Stanley Wilson Jr, to Wikipedia. Doing so is not in accordance with our policies. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. — Timneu22 · talk 20:06, 13 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Hi Dale edit

There appears to be a conflict of interest; you shouldn't be editing that page. Are you a notable topic? — Timneu22 · talk 20:32, 13 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

May 2010 edit

Please do not replace Wikipedia pages with blank content, as you did to the page Dale Stanley Wilson Jr. Blank pages can confuse readers, and are overall not helpful to the Wikipedia project; furthermore, blanking a page is not the same as deleting it.

If the article you blanked is a duplicate of another article, please redirect it to an appropriate existing page. If the page has been vandalized, please revert it to the last legitimate revision. If you feel that the content of a page is inappropriate, please replace it with appropriate content. If you believe there is no hope for the page, please use the appropriate deletion process. Don't worry about the note just above: page blanking is a regrettably common form of vandalism, and that is what another editor thought had happened here. It is quite OK for a page author to blank his own page, and that is taken as a request to delete.
However, I should explain that Wikipedia is not a social-networking site like Facebook or Myspace where people write about themselves and their friends; writing about oneself is strongly discouraged, for reasons explained here. The links in the Welcome paragraph above will tell you more about contributing. Regards, JohnCD (talk) 20:52, 13 May 2010 (UTC)Reply
