This edit is very suspicious: [1] Lots of plausible sounding text, but I've checked a couple of the sources and they're definitely misleading. E.g. "Workers in the textile industry, for example, earned more in Bengal and Mysore than they did in Britain, while agricultural labour in Britain had to work longer hours to earn the same amount as in Mysore." Reference says "earnings were comparable" for Bengal and Britain, doesn't say anything about Mysore, doesn't say anything about hours.

Again: "According to evidence cited by the economic historians Immanuel Wallerstein, Irfan Habib, Percival Spear, and Ashok Desai, per-capita agricultural output and standards of consumption in 17th-century Mughal India was higher than in 17th-century Europe and early 20th-century British India." Reference says per capita output was "certainly not lower and probably higher than contemporary European." Also note the way a bunch of names get thrown in. The reference is Suneja; Suneja references Wallerstein, saying Wallerstein cites Habib, Spear, Desai. Blinding with a blizzard of indirectly quoted sources is very Jagged_85. I have also received your email and just wanted to let you know that several of us have been slowly backing this stuff out as we come across it. I'm not sure why we didn't revert it when it was first introduced, probably WP:AGF. I was suspicious of the edits to History of radio three years ago, but no-one else seemed interested. To me, it was that they just had way too much detail compared to the rest of the article. Thanks @Gah4. I was quite suspicious as well, after seeing all the peacock terms in MOSFET and related articles. Once I started cleaning up after Maestro, seeing his edits closely, i was pretty convinced that he is in fact Jagged 85. Now it is established. DMKR2005 (talk) 13:37, 7 August 2022 (UTC)
